Sent to eliminate a gun-running camp in Central America, United States Major Dutch Schaeffer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his commandos get more than they bargained for when they cross paths with a mysterious assassin. As members of their unit begin to disappear, Dutch, Dillon (Carl Weathers), and Blain (Jesse Ventura) conclude that whatever is hunting them is not of this earth. Every attempt at a tactical defense is a defeated for Dutch and company and it is only in the last stretch of their race to safety that their suspicions are confirmed and they encounter the alien nimrod face to face.A summer box office smash, 1987's PREDATOR re-ignited an old trend of movies depicting aliens invading earth that began decades earlier with films like WAR OF THE WORLDS and INVADERS FROM MARS. McTiernan does a miraculous job of directing the "invisible" Predator. Furthermore, the special effects, which are stunningly subtle and never boisterous, make PREDATOR a strikingly contemporary sci-fi effort even amid today's techno-thrillers.

The BEST Arnold film EVER MADE!!!
Predator Simply spectacular! One of the best action films EVER Made!!! Action, adventure, special effects and bad accents make this movie one for the ages. Anybody growing up to action films starring the likes of Van Damme, Ahnold, and Sly will remember this film as one of the best action films of it's time. Predator is about a team of military personnel who go on a rescue mission in the jungle. The team soon finds out they're not alone and fight for their lives against a being from outer space. Final Verdict: 5/5 Rent or Buy?: Action fans and Arnold fans need this film in their collection. Predator is still one of my favorite action films ever made. Fifteen thumbs up!!! " I never knew how much I missed this, Dutch!"
Predator is one of the top 80s action films, hands down. It's a well told story of an elite fighting team facing an extraordinary enemy, unlike anything they have come in contact with, and ultimately the battle for survival against both nature and the unknown. The cast is great, with all of the actors fitting in place. There's never a moment of boredom. We get to know the characters who, despite their macho personas, show their humanity when the stuff hits the fan. The fantastic score by Alan Silvestri drives the film, perfectly complements the mood and atmosphere. The one-liners are pure classic. Predator is a perfect example of filmmakers taking their material seriously.Predator is one of the top 80s action films, hands down.
