When Captain Amazing, chief superhero of Champion City, is kidnapped by insane supervillain Casanova Frankenstein, who will save the city and ensure that justice is served? Enter the Mystery Men: Mr. Furious, The Bowler, The Blue Raja, The Shoveler, The Spleen, The Sphinx, and the Invisible Boy- a group of misfits in possession of superpowers...sort of. Watch the mayhem ensue, as this wacky team goes up against Frankenstein and his mad henchmen. This adaptation of the popular Dark Horse comic strikes a weird comic tone which is heightened by great production design and fun performances by all involved. This is the first feature from director Usher, who previously directed commercials ("Got Milk?").

Great Movie
Cool movie. Wholly bizarre. Every bit as campy as other movies like Harold and Maude, Reefer Madness, The Last Starfighter and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. A great number of stars are in the movie - one of my favorite - William "Bill" Macy. Great price for a Blue Ray video.

HD DVD Review
I was one of the dummies that jumped the gun on the whole blue-ray and HD DVD format war and decided to buy a really nice HD DVD player. And as most people know, that was the wrong thing to do! And now I'm stuck with a DVD player that cant live up to its HD potential. So I was so happy to see that someone was still making these HD DVD's and was actually a little skeptical to say the least. Especially after seeing the amazingly low price!! But I decided to give it a shot, and I wasn't in the least bit disappointed! Not only is the DVD in a beautiful case (which is the exact same type of case that they were originally made from) but it plays amazingly! What surprised me the most was that because I had ordered right around Christmas and the scheduled shipping date was actually on ... But sure enough two days after I had bought it it arrived right before Christmas! It was in perfect condition, eg. no scratches or even smudges! If you were like me and doubting the product then just trust me that you wont be disappointed at all!

my favorite comedy ever !
I bought this movie in HD format....to add to my HD collection...I also have it in regular dvd.... Not everyone likes it as much as me ....but I just think it was written so good and in such depth...... c'mon now.... non lethal weapons of mass destruction (thats FUNNY).....misfit superheroes (hilarious)....and captain Amazing getting Defraculated ?? (never was there a super hero who needed this so much ...LOL ) and my favorite .... a Portable chloroform deployment enticement snare.... Bottom line is This movie is loaded with humor....good music... and some great one liners...that I cant help but use in daily now and then... enjoyI bought this movie in HD format....to add to my HD collection...I also have it in regular dvd....
