Works better than the packaging says!
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Recently I had the front windshield replaced, and no one bothers putting the rear view mirror back on. If you are familiar with that particular car and the rear view mirror, the mirror does not have a set screw to remove the little plate that gets glued to the inside of the windshield. At least mine didn't. That made for an interesting delemna because the instructions say to hold that little plate on the window for 30 seconds , after the prep work, and not to attach the mirror back to that plate for at least 30 minutes. Well I decided to try it my way. I did the few prep steps, cleaned the glass and all that put the drop of glue on the plate after making sure I had the mirror going in the right direction, and put the mirror in place on the ... Another minute went by and my arms were hurting by then. Ok laugh at me if you want, because I got ouchy after 5 minutes of holding a mirror in place. Well I am a 60 year old female. I am disabled, have arthritis in my hands pretty band, and constant joint paint in my arms and shoulders. So if I can do this, anyone can. The price was great and it worked fantastic. After that 5 minutes I let go and it stayed in place. About an hour I hung all my hangy things I always have on my rear view mirror and everything held. That was a couple weeks ago. It's still holding strong.

Wouldn't stick mirror to windshield
Tried 2 different packs of this glue and no luck both times. Even sanded the mirror button the second time and it still fell off after one drive. Ended up using 3m window urethane and held up great

Only thing that works
This product was bought because my rear view mirror fell off the plate on the windshield. I tried several other types of clue before and none worked. Make sure you use it as directed. The process of refitting was very easy and the mirror, weighing over a pound, stuck like it should. I never waited the entire 30 minutes to attach my mirror, because mine comes as one piece. It STILL worked brilliantly in less than 5 minutes. Job was done in about 10. Highly recommended.This product was bought because my rear view mirror fell off the plate on the windshield. Buy adhesive from adhesive company
Didn't work for me. I have used permatex sealants for over 40 years and they do the job. Thought I would try this to replace my mirror. Cleaned off old glue, scrubbed with acetone, dried with cotton swab, then used provided towelette. Applied 1 drop and pressed together of full minute. Seemed okay. waited 24 hours to connect mirror. 2 days later mirror hanging from wires. Adhesive separated from glass side. Adhesive was somewhat soft. Expected it to be rock hard. Buying adhesive from permatex is like ordering a steak dinner in New Delhi India. You can do it, but you won't like the results. Bought a kit made by Locktite. Used it to install mirror. Seems to be working. I will buy sealant from Permatex and adhesives from Locktite or 3M. I'll buy my steak dinner from a steak ... Didn't work for me. Permatex Rearview Mirror adhesive
This product is outstanding! I tried over 6 other adhesive to reattach my large truck mirror and none held. The longest one held was less than a day. The Permatex adhesive held after 2 minutes of set time and the bond is incredible. This product is a tremendous value for the cost and I highly recommend it as it performs as advertised.
