À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Who Wants to be a Millionaire single handedly brought prime-time game shows back into popularity. Ever since the Twenty-One scandal rocked television audiences in the 1950s, prime time quiz shows became few and far between. Hosted by Regis Philbin, the sudden demand for quiz programs surged spawning similar shows and reality television -- computer games were created to mimic ABC's multiple choice juggernaut.

Publishers Simon & Schuster have leapt on the bandwagon with Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire, a comedic parody of the aforementioned game show. Rather than simply being eliminated from the game, players are punched and tortured after submitting wrong answers. Featuring multi-player support, each player (up to four) starts out with a million dollars and, instead of earning virtual cash, loses money as the rounds unfold. Once a contestant has run out of funding, he or she is eliminated from the game -- whoever has money at the end of the game wins.

In single-player mode, you choose a millionaire to compete against. When a wrong answer is submitted, that player is tossed out of the game and gets beaten up. Additionally, players can obtain helpful clues known as Lifeboats that include One or the Other, Pass the Buck and Fortune Cookie. Whereas the first eliminates two wrong answers, Pass the Buck directs the given question to another contestant. Fortune Cookie requires guessing the correct answer based upon given clues.

When beating up millionaires, you have a variety of punches from which to choose including uppercuts, stomach punches, hooks, jabs and head butts. Hosted by Egregious Phillin, Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire also features 750 off-the-wall multiple-choice questions.

  • "Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire?"

Back when I was a kid, one summer I painted a neighbor's fence. I was paid $70 for it and blew 50 of it on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" for the PlayStation. It was one of worst purchases I ever made. GameStop nor did Game Crazy have any locations near home at the time to trade it in, so I took it to a pawn shop. I got $3 for it. It hurts me to this day still. What does this have to do with this game you ask? Well, I've had a Dreamcast for about 6 months now (I picked one up for $30 at Rhino games after GameStop bought them out) and I just recently started using E-Bay to find new games, since no one around here carries any good ones anymore. And then I found this one. "Who Wants to Beat Up A Millionaire?" It looked like i was going to get sweet revenge for all that crap I dealt with ...

  • A Bad Game? I Think Not!

I don't care about what the reviews say. This game is a very enertaining and very fun game, indeed. Even though I find the Regis impersonations a little annoying, it really does have a charm. When I saw a snippet of this game, I just had to have it. Trouble was, no Dreamcast! About a year later, my dream has come alive. Thank you very much for selling me this game.

  • Stupid game

This game is about the worst game I have ever played. There is not one fun aspect about it. Game play is terrible, graphics are equally as bad and overall I would have rather burned the $10.00 I spent on it do to the fact that watching my money on fire would bring me more enjoyment then this game ever has. This game is CLOWN SHOES!!!!!!!!!
