Old technology, but works great!
I use this to watch my home TV when I travel internationally. For this, it is flawless. I was using an Elgato EyeTV, which was a pain because then I had to leave a computer on all the time. Now I can just leave the Belkin on all the time, and it has worked flawlessly. If you have any kind of tech background, it will be very easy to set up. For the best stability, you will have to create a DHCP reservation outside the normal range used on your router. If you are uncomfortable doing that (or Googling it to find out how) then set up might be a little more difficult. I like this better than the Eyetv, it is more stable and easier to use on both my Mac and iPad both in and outside my home. Meaning if I want to record the 11pm news and watch it the next day on my laptop on the airplane, I have to hit the record button on the computer at 11pm. Maybe the will update this sometime in the future. In order for this to work, your cable box will need to output a component or composite signal. Those are the round RCA jacks on the back. Composite is the yellow for video and red and white for audio, component will be red blue green video out and the red/white audio. If your cable or satellite box only outputs HDMI, you're out of luck. Could maybe use an HDMI to component adapter, but that's another thing to plug in and fail. Hope this helps!

Great Product, Poor Belkin Support
This product is an amazing way to stream television from home to a android tablet, iphone, android phone, ipad, laptop/PC. However, the Playstore and the Apple App Store have removed the mobile device apps from their library. On Android it's a simple fix, just download the APK and away you go. On Apple, the only way to get this to work is to know someone who purchased the app previously and getting the copy from them. This product works so well that I own 4 of these. Excellent Experience
Once I figured out how to use it on my computer, I really like it. I didn't know that the virtual remote control on the Belkin@TV screen works just as if I had my remote control in my hand. You can turn the cable/satellight box on and off, Bring up the guide, And do anything that your hand remote can do. Only you use your mouse to click on the virtual remote control to do what you want. Very good product. I bought mine "used", so I had to reset it to factory default for it to work on my network and my satellight provider. The reset button is located on the "right side" of the unite. It was very easy to do. If your "used" one don't come with an owners manuel, you can download one from the Belkin's website.Once I figured out how to use it on my computer, I really like it. Fantastic item, especially for such a low price compared to slingbox!
This is a steal!!!!! Bought on ebay for 25$! Any comparable slingbox costs over 3x the price. Has built in Wifi and works great over it! The streaming quality is really good! Works perfect over my home network and great on the go on my phone even one 1 bar of only 3G! Great great item! Btw... you can even get the phone app for free from amazon on android if you just install the amazon store app.

Useless Paper weight!
Received item no software was on item or included nor can it be downloaded. Item is a big paper weight without software making it totally useless! I will be more careful when purchasing items next time to make sure it has software!
