great! both in service by provider (seller) and as a film; lots of great music well set in period of world war two.
per film content, it's a great story, well filmed and acted, and -- for anyone enjoying jazz, swing, or big band music, and world war two period pieces -- "swing kids" is delightful to watch; i've probably seen it three or four times before, years ago, so was glad to find it available for reasonable price and in such great (new) condition, especially for the price, on ebay! joy all around :-)

'Swing Kids'---jazz and jitterbug become political in Hitler&apos
SWING KIDS faithfully depicts the subculture of young German jitterbug and jazz aficionados early in World War Two. It's a reasonably accurate history of the time, the place, and the increasing pressures imposed on German teenagers by Hitler's repressive regime. Robert Sean Leonard and Christian Bale play two freewheeling 'swing kinder' whose friendship deteriorates under the strain; Frank Whalley plays Arvid, a crippled young guitar virtuoso who realizes that he can't escape the regime's mounting brutality. The dance and swing sequences are superbly staged, and counterpoint the ever-darkening daily realities of the Third Reich. Great movie could be used for historical content for the younger generation.

History repeating itself when no one thought it could possibly happen.
This movie us very apropos to today. It allows you to see how easily masks have become the sign of Juden for Americicans as it did when the Nazis turned a people into non humans. Children against parents, neighbors turning in friends in order to not become one of them. Very telling if you are listening to the plans for the U S Total tyranny against any one not obeying the arbitrary regime in power. Total annialation.This movie us very apropos to today. WW2 setting about the effects of Hilter's Reich on the youthful members of German society.
"Swing Kids" is probably for adult audiences - a few rough spots for kids. It is a good reminder of why we should appreciate our democracy in the USA and our Bill of Rights to safeguard our rights.
