Product Information

Magic-minded gamers have a chance to play through the penultimate Potter picture, in the interactive interpretation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Based on the film and featuring characters modeled on the likenesses of its stars, the game presents missions and side-quests that lead players through the story of the sixth novel in J.K. Rowling's extraordinarily popular book series. In terms of play style, Half-Blood Prince is similar to its immediate predecessor, Order of the Phoenix. Players are free to explore Hogwarts, the sprawling arcane academy, where they will find discovery points, in key locations, that activate quests and challenges which can reveal plot information and move the story forward. <br><br>Players can enter into wizard duels and play Quidditch in the game, and as in the book, the powerful effects of both custom-brewed potions and teenage romance can have heavy influence over the way events unfold. Half-Blood Prince features a day-night cycle, allowing players to sneak out after sundown and complete missions that might raise suspicion in the light of day. In addition to duels with students from other Hogwarts houses, players will face off against dangerous opponents such as Death Eaters and Inferi. As Gryffindor's star seeker, players will also compete for the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup. Following the story of the book, mini-games allow players to try their hand at mixing potions, using recipes from the old, annotated textbook of the mysterious Half Blood Prince.

    I am the Half-blood prince...

    Okay, this game has it all. It's got brilliant Quidditch games, potions, duels, and a hilarious script! For the potions you get to pour, stir, and shake in a certain amount of time to get your potions right, just like The Half-Blood Prince! With Qudditch you fly through hoops to earn more time to catch the snitch, with the opposing team trying to knock you off your broom! The Burrow is marvelous by the way, definitely my favorite spot. You play as Harry Potter (Or the Boy Who Scores) through most of the game, but you can play Ron in one scene, which was very funny. Hermione however, does not get her own section. I wanted to shoot spells at Draco, Crabbe and Goyle! :( That being said, you should still get this game because you can play her in the dueling club mini game, along with Ron, ...

    Ambitious title slightly held back on the Wii.

    It's a great game, but I don't care for the Wii version. The controls are very awkward considering how well this should work with Wiimote and nunchuck. While it looks good for a Wii title, it lags a lot in duels, when entering rooms, during potions. I'd rather just play it for PS3.

    Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for Wii Rocks!!!

    Much like all the Harry Potter games so far, this one stays fairly true to the movie. The graphics are excellent. the controls are pretty easy to learn and it is just plain fun to wander the Hogwarts grounds. In the short time I have been playing it, I have advanced pretty far. The spell casting and the potions making can be challenging and the quiditch is awesome. I highly recommend this game, so go get it and have fun... Harry!

    Fun game from our favorite magic world.

    As far as the graphics, they are good for a 12 year old system. It's fun, its follows the story and its Harry Potter. Play with motion plus for edge!

    gives your child that Harry Potter fix they crave

    My 9 yo daughter loves Harry Potter and likes being able to walk around the castle and interact with characters from the movie. She finds some of the controls difficult however such as controlling objects with her wand or flying in Quiddich.
