Also sharing the home are a cat named Chester and a rabbit named Bunnicula. It is because of Bunnicula that Harold turned to writing. Someone had to tell the full story of what happened in the Monroe household after the rabbit arrived.It all began when the Monroes went to see the movie Dracula At the theater Toby found something on his seat'a baby rabbit that he took home and named Bunnicula. It proved to be an apt name, at least as far as Chester was concerned. A well-read and observant cat, he soon decided that there was something odd about the newcomer. For one thing he seemed to have fangs. And the odd markings on his back looked a little like a cape. Furthermore, Bunnicula slept from sunup to sundown. He was awake only at night.When the family started funding white vegetables, drained dry, with two fang marks in them, Chester was sure Bunnicula was a vampire. But what to do about it. None of the family seemed to grasp the trouble, and Chester's hilarious hints were totally misunderstood.Was Bunnicula really a vampire? Only Bunnicula knows for sure. But the story of Chester's suspicions and their consequences makes uproarious reading.

Very good Book
I bought this book for my 9 year old son. When i saw the title of this book i had no idea what this book was about, so i did some research and found that this was a very good book for my son to read. ( It is about vampire bunny,s ). this book kept my son,s attention every time he picked it up to read more about these vampire bunny,s. To keep a 9 year old boy,s attention for a very long time it must be a very good book. I know the word ( Vampire )scares a lot of young children, but the story behind this book i found very pleasing to read. So If you get a chance check it out, your child will be very happy to read something about pretty little bunny,s. this book has some pretty long or big word,s in it, so it really depend,s on your child,s ability to read. So if your child can read on this ... I bought this book for my 9 year old son. Cute but not for me.
I purchased the book for my nephew because the guy I was dating at the time said that it was one of his favorites growing up. I never heard of it growing up so I read it to make sure that it was age appropriate for my nephew. Chester the cat was hilarious but I was expecting more out of the bunny himself. The idea of a vampire bunny is funny but it didn't make me want to go buy the next book in the series. While the book is cute, it didn't lead to climax very well. I think whether or not I buy the next one is completely up to my nephew. I have to see what he says. Great fun! Clever & well written
Well written books for boys or girls. The narrator is the family dog and he expertly captures the "personality" of human sibling boys, a mother, a working father and a snobby, well-read cat. A sweet little bunny with an unusual appetite rounds out the cast. Clever and silly with an edge - this series will delight children (from ages 5 - 12 ?). I loved the series, too!

Highly recommended for any age.
Everybody, regardless of age, loves Bunnicula! My son lost this book while we were moving and I have searched every garage sale for it. Every person I asked knew of the book but didn't have it to sell. This is just a cute little story about a vampire rabbit who sucks the juice from vegetables and his new friends don't know what to make of him. This is my son's all-time favorite book.
