It was fantastic to finally find this film! Brilliant value.
I have been looking for this film for over 20 years!! I didn't know the name and so it was almost impossible. I decided to have one more try so I Googled "Dubbed 1060's childrens programme Dwarf Giant Fish" and a Youtube excert had been posted in 2011 by someone else who'd got strong memories of this!! I watched it with my 13 year old son...It's absolutely brilliant. It took me back nearly 50 years! I've lent it to a friend and he was equally excited.I have been looking for this film for over 20 years!! I didn't know the name and so it was almost impossible. Mesmerising, weird, spooky, disturbing, moral!
I bought this DVD as a present for my sister who loved The Singing Ringing Tree when it was serialised on the tv in the 60s. She was thrilled at being able to watch it again (and again, and again!). It isn't too long, just over an hour, and has been digitally remastered so it's very colourful. It's the story of a spoilt princess, a prince who wants to marry her (he gets turned into a bear while searching for the singing ringing tree) and a dwarf. Very peculiar and weird but it's a fairy story and there's a moral in the tale. I'm not sure how today's modern child would view it but their grandparents loved it!I bought this DVD as a present for my sister who loved The Singing Ringing Tree when it was serialised on the tv in the 60s. A trip down memory lane.....
I watched this when I was young and remembered being scared by the bear, so seeing it advertised I decided to buy it. A trip down memory lane for me, the film is quite short but still compelling to watch, the scenery and graphics as you would expect are quite basic even ammusing at times. I'm so glad I bought this as now it will be passed around the family as well. Great to buy, A bit of light heartedness to watch...ENJOYI watched this when I was young and remembered being scared by the bear, so seeing it advertised I decided to buy it. A trip down memory lane for me, the film is quite short but still compelling to watch, the scenery and graphics as you would expect are quite basic even ammusing at times. I'm so glad I bought this as now it will be passed around the family as well. Great to buy, A bit of light heartedness to watch...ENJOY

The DVD is of good quality
I bought this dvd The Singing Ringing Tree because it was one of my favourite programmes on TV when I was a young teenager. I love watching it and it had an influence on me as I think every time I do a good deed I become a nicer person.
