Reviews
"Pulls out all the stops...an incredible, terrifying tale."-- Publishers Weekly More Praise for Dean Koontz "Dean Koontz is a prose stylist whose lyricism heightens malevolence and tension. [He creates] characters of unusual richness and depth."-- The Seattle Times "Tumbling, hallucinogenic prose....'Serious' writers...might do well to examine his technique."-- The New York Times Book Review "Lyrical writing and compelling characters...Koontz stands alone."--Associated Press "In every industry there exist 'artists' that are not only unforgettable, but know their craft better than the rest. Dean Koontz...is among these artisans."-- Suspense Magazine "[Koontz] has always had near-Dickensian powers of description, and an ability to yank us from one page to the next that few novelists can match."-- Los Angeles Times "Perhaps more than any other author, Koontz writes fiction perfectly suited to the mood of America...novels that acknowledge the reality and tenacity of evil but also the power of good...[and that] entertain vastly as they uplift."-- Publishers Weekly, "Pulls out all the stops...an incredible, terrifying tale."-- Publishers Weekly "Koontz is an expert at creating believable characters."-- The Detroit News and Free Press "One of our finest and most versatile suspense writers."-- The Macon Telegraph & News "Koontz's gift is that he makes his monsters seem 'realer,' and he makes the characters who fight [them] as normal as anyone you'd meet on a street."-- Orlando Sentinel

Avis les plus pertinents

  • This book is exactly what I expected.

I lost the first copy I had, which I considered my "pool book". Since I was half way through the book, I immediately went to eBay and found another copy. It arrived in plenty of time to continue reading the book in the pool. Of course, I found the original book later and so now I have two rather damp copies. Koontz is a good author, but this is one of his older books with a new edit. I prefer his newer books. Reading a book in which the characters have to find a pay phone, instead of whipping out the old cell or looking for information on the computer, is becoming very dating, which I have to say makes me lean towards the books written in the last five years. But obviously, I liked the book well enough to want to read the rest of it..... and immediately, before I forgot ...

  • Great product and fast shipment

The books arrived sooner than expected and are in good condition.

  • Loved the book. Koontz at his best

I loved the book. It kept you guessing and asking questions. Shows that cops are swayed by evidence as in real life. Bit of a twist in the story complexity.

  • Two Faces of Terror

This book was another great D.K. tale. It could be based on true events... especially with what happens these days! Mysterous horror book with happy/sad endings

  • Whispers

I loved the overall story, and I had previously read novels by Dean Koontz. He writes novels that would interest anyone.
