Convertible top motor cover
This is a good improvement over the OEM plastic cover. There is a small problem on the part that covers the tension cables. If you have to adjust the tension you have to keep taking the entire cover off. The plastic version has a henge point that allows easy access.

Fixed my problem
On my 2005 E46 M3 I was putting the top down and the top had folded down into the boot storage area and appeared to be closed as usual when I started hearing clicking and the convertible button was stuck flashing. Immediately realized it was something with the motor. Was frustrated because the top was now stuck down, luckily it was parked in the garage. Watched a YouTube video of a guy who installed this and it worked for him. Decided I'd give it a shot. Received the cover removed the bottom back seat pulled off the original plastic cover over the motor assembly and inspected both gears located on top. I took one of the gears out and it clicked, it appeared to have dislodged out of sync with the other gear. It appears the plastic cover allowed for the gear to come loose causing the gear ... It appears the plastic cover allowed for the gear to come loose causing the gear to come out of sync The teeth on the gears were fine, took the 3 bolts that attach motor assembly off and installed this metal cover. 15 min later my top was operating as normal. Very pleased with the design of this product, it's well made, fitment was perfect, and shipping was fast. Very satisfied customer here.

325 Convertible Drive Cover
The original plastic piece had fallen apart, and could not find a replacement for a 2005 325ci. The supplied aluminum piece fit perfectly, and should last longer than the rest of the car. The engineering and craftsmanship were well above anything that I could hope to have found. Even if I had the proper tools, I could not have made a better replacement part. Highly recommend this piece, and would believe the workmanship of other crafted pieces should also be good. Saved my M3 Convertible!
I am so happy with how this product works I didn’t have a functioning convertible top before for about 6 months finally pulled the trigger and bought this product best decision I’ve made all week words cannot describe how happy I am right now!! Thanks too this product my top opens and closes no problem no clicking it is amazing!! If your having convertible problems and a clicking noise coming from the back seat look no further this is you’re solution!! Great product
Great product. Had to enlarge front hole slightly as it didn’t line up and made the front gear bind up. Otherwise great. Modification was so minor it wasn’t worth complaining about.
