Product Information

The first Dragon Ball Z game on PSP, Shin Budokai is a one-on-one fighting game with 18 cel-shaded combatants and wireless support for head-to-head matches. As with previous games in the Budokai series, players must master an assortment of special moves, transformations, counters, and other attacks to win fast-paced battles taking place on land and in the air. Two play options include a story mode based on the Dragon Ball Z: Rebirth of Fusion animated film, and a network mode, where two friends compete over a local wireless connection with their choice of characters and settings.

    Awesome handheld Dbz game!

    This is one of my favorite Dbz games. Definitely my second pick next to Tenkaichi Tag Team. But still a great game with a decent story and awesome gameplay.

    Excellent Gameplay, story was eh

    The story mode was just prolonged and didn't follow too closely with the movie it was based on. Then again, if they based it just on the movie the story mode would have been a quarter as long. The gameplay, however, is very good. The features and story mode lack, but the gameplay is good, which stands the same for all of the budokai games. Overall it was well worth the buy.

    Great game! BUT,

    I am a dragon ball z fan, and I like the Budokai games more then the other games because its game play is like tekken. It's really like your buying budokai 3 on the ps3 with a few new people to play around with. If you love dbz like I do, just get shin budokai: another road. Its the same just different story line and I think it may have a few more characters.

    Doesn’t work !!

    Tried to test run the game and turns out the game itself doesn’t start, it reads the game and then stays at the home screen at the start of it , afterwards crashes & gives me an error code. Waste of money

    Great fighting game

    I like this game almost as much as I like Tehkken Dark resurrection. Its a good fighting game. Love the fighting styles and the effects. I loved this cartoon and I use to watch this cartoon when i was a few years younger so I knew I had to try out the game. Its a pretty cool game. Enjoyable.
