This allows the Samsung S860 to produce even better images and take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. In addition, the Samsung S860 has a 3x optical and 3x digital zoom giving 9x total zoom when combined.With the Face Detection AF & AE function, the Samsung S860 enables the user to take better portrait pictures more easily. The function detects faces and automatically focuses on them; the brightness of the faces is adjusted optimally for beautiful portrait pictures.DIS technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and color which is sometimes found in flash photography. With DIS the effects of image blur are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light conditions without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.You have a choice of scene modes to help you get the perfect shot in any situation. By automatically adjusting the camera's setting according to the situation, you can be sure of getting great pictures effortlessly. The scene modes provided are Children, Landscape, Close-up, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow, Night and Portrait.

    Perfect for the papparazzi in you

    My daughter has expressed an interest in photography recently. I bought her this little pocket camera so she can get an idea of placement, color, and what makes a good photograph. This is easy to use, takes nice, clear pictures and is a nice basic camera for the enthusiast to capture memories.

    High-resolution, handy camera for not much money

    This is a cool little camera, takes great pics for its size. It's handy to carry in your pocket. 1 problem is, when you're shooting video, it cuts the microphone when you zoom in or out, so you miss some of the action. Also the image gets a little blurred during zooming (doesn't focus quite fast enough). Makes a great starter camera for someone interested in photography, and just for snapshots!

    Camera stop working after taking a couple of dozens of shots

    The Samsung S860 camera that arrived was different that was shown on the picture. The color of the case was different with a lot of scratches on it, there were clear mechanical marks of penetration or attempts to penetrate inside. But it worked, was cheap and as it was used, legally not much I could complain about. Decided to take it for three weeks trip to Malta and Italy and that was a mistake. The camera's lenses started to malfunction on the very first day of the trip, literally after a couple of dozens of shots. The lenses were not able to extend or retract or both. For some time it was possible to rectify this by repeatedly powering camera on and off several time, but on the third day the camera stop working completely.

    Nice little camera

    This is my third one since they debuted. Obviously, the last two were used. I like this camera, it has enough features for me to take the kind of pics I need.

    My fav camera

    I take thousands of photos and I have owned several of these little cameras and I LOVE it! It doesn't have a lot of fancy stuff, it is heavier than some and it is easy to use and takes amazing photos. Once you press the button to take the photo do be patient as it doesn't work like the new ones. It is slower so do keep that in mind if you need a camera to shoot fast. I like this camera so much I actually use one and have two in stock. I hope this helps you make a decision and may God bless! Cheri
