À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a persistent world role-playing game that has you fighting in an epic war between the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire. Become a Jedi Knight, Sith warrior, bounty hunter, smuggler, or one of four other class types as you explore the base game's 17 worlds, each home to numerous quests, characters, and challenges.<br><br>The interface and combat system are designed in a similar fashion to previous games in the genre, with players viewing their characters from a third-person viewpoint and clicking on individual keys to initiate different forms of attacks and powers. You'll hone your combat skills against an assortment of droids, creatures, and humanoids, either alone or with the help of others.<br><br>One distinctive element of The Old Republic is its emphasis on cinematic storytelling. Dialogue sequences are completely voice acted, for example, and you'll be able to fight alongside companion characters that will actively converse with your character, become more proficient in combat, and even offer the possibility of romance. You will also make decisions during quests that will earn you either light or dark Force points that can eventually be used to unlock exclusive powers.<br><br>In addition, Star Wars: The Old Republic lets you captain a personal starship to engage in space combat or to use for transportation. The game also features land-based vehicles, a galactic trade network for selling and buying items, dedicated social hubs, areas designed specifically for player versus player combat, and cooperative raid-type encounters called operations. A monthly fee of $14.99 is required to continue playing the game after the first 30 days.

Item arrived earlier than expected, was well packaged, and was in better than expected condition. Disc read flawlessly and had no visible scratches, instructions were in good condition, and any minor blemishes on the case were easily cleaned. Great to have this in my collection again after losing it many years ago.

  • Great game. Give it some time and they will add more stuff.

Everybody says this is a re-skinned version of wow. That pretty much is true. However, something are different from wow. Each class has its own story line and you will and I mean YOU will enjoy the main story line. This really makes you want to make a new character just for the story line. Now if you don't care about any story and just want to grind battle grounds then this game is not for you. However, if you do like stories with voice acting then this game is pretty awesome. The graphics are not bad at all if you have it on high. For the sound I really never pay attention to most things as long as some sort of noise is coming out that matches the picture so go read up on somebody else for that. Also, the leveling is not that slow if you have a friend that levels with you. It will takes ...

  • Not bad can be PRICES per month. NOT as good as our Freelancer Mod.

Expensive to get the good stuff and subscription fee is $14.99 and UP. FREE players get next to nothing. It is HIGHLY suggested to at the least buy a $4.95 package to get preferred treatment, extra account slots you only get 2 for FREE PLAY. The loading process is BUGGED right now so you have to enter a special number emailed to you EVERY time you log in, though not all players have that issue. The game is fun to a degree. Fighting is LAME but they are working on the space fighting and such and that may prove to be fun. As the owner of Discovery Freelancer mod discoveryptc dot net we judge ALL space games against Freelancer and this may prove to be fun but Freelancer is STILL THE BEST. We are modding our version greater than ever before now. Get the game but get the small purchase to ...

  • This game is entertaining but there are some tedious aspects

I enjoyed the first 20 levels because of the storyline, however the gameplay becomes stagnant as soon as you hit Tatooine. I only managed to hit level 35 before my 30 days were up, so I didn't get to experience end-game content, however I felt I experienced enough to know this game wasn't for me. I'm an original classic WoW player and this just didn't measure up to it. What I liked: *Gear customization is fun *Crafting/Gathering isn't tedious *Sith storyline was immersive *Having your own ship *Having a companion (which is a lifesaver for planets that don't have people who want to group up) *The world design is consistent with Star Wars Issues: *On a "normal" population server, it still felt like low pop (hard to find groups while leveling). *Combat isn't always smooth, and the ...

  • Promising, but yet immature. Customer policy sometime hard to understand.

Leveling up a character is a pleasure, no repetitive kill-tasks like the ones in DAoC for example. Craft system is immature but will probably improve with time. There is a lack of high-level content, but remember this is a new game which will grow up. I'm happy after 8 weeks of play, this is all I can say now. For the bad part: the customer policy. I noticed two things I really disliked : - you have to know that buying the game will NOT be enough to play. You will be forced to either buy a prepaid time code, or give your credit card number for a subscription. EA will not let you play your "included 30 days" without that. - after activating your account (game licence + prepaid time code or credit card number), you will not be able to use the "invite your friends for a free 7 days trial" ...

  • GRIND! than unfun end game.

This game had so much potential. It had one of the highest budgets of any video game in history, and a fan base that would have like it if it did anything different. But we get a wow clone. Now I say WoW clone because its just too easy, raids are easy, leveling is EXTREMELY slow but easy, theres no difficulty. I could not reccomend this game to anyone that does not have a lot of time on their hands, or a huge Star Wars fan, but even if you are a fan, you might want to skip. Its just not fun, the stories are boring/lackluster, the game is only graphically nice, but balance issues run amuck. I thought the end game might be redemption, and i know end game content, i've played all the wow expansions and EQ1 and EQ2, and this game lacks it. Saying its "pvp end game" just means it is too ...
