Product Information

In Tomb Raider, you assume the role of a beautiful archaeologist, Lara Croft. She is a thrill seeker and is willing to do almost anything that puts her life in danger - she enjoys it. Naturally, Lara jumped all over the opportunity to recover the powerful Scion, an ancient relic scattered throughout the caverns and temples of the world. Played from a third-person 3D perspective, her adventure spans over 15 levels set in four distinct worlds and environments. As Lara, you'll have to solve ancient riddles in the Egyptian Pyramids, discover the Lost City of Atlantis and traverse through Ancient Rome all while looking for the artifact. Each level is laced with traps and hazards that require you to flip, swim, and climb your way to safety and success. Along the way, you'll engage in battle with countless enemies including wolves, bears, and the occasional "extinct" dinosaur. Fortunately, you have a slew of weapons at your disposal. Lara's default weapon is dual pistols and as you progress further into the game, you'll come across shotguns, magnums, and an Uzi. When the ammunition is running low, you'll have to make good use of her various maneuvers to avoid enemy contact. Look out Indiana Jones - Lara's in town.

The joystick is in excellent condition overall for being used. I opened it up to inspect and clean it but it wasn’t really necessary. Everything works fine and it gives the retro feel. Seller was quick and everything was accurate so kudos and I can recommend and would purchase from again. Now it with this piece my Sega setup is one step closer to being perfect. The family loves to play on it with certain games and makes them easier as well. Awesome!

lightweight with great features
i received this order exactly as described . well packaged . it is intact . the disc arrived on time. i followed the shipping track . this is the first time i have ever played it. but i dont like the option save . i cannot keep playing. once i lose the game . i shall start over. i find the simbol purple . i am ready for the option save.

Breakthrough Game
Game has been on the market for quite a while, so going back and playing it now, you can see the definate improvement of video games since then. However, it is not completely archaic, so you can still have fun doing so! The character and plot lines are good, so you still have to think a bit while playing trying to find the 'clues' and tricks to get to the next step. All in all, not bad, and the sequels to the game are even better! Tomb Raider 1 through 5.
They are great video games. And because I just recently became a big fan of the adventuress, Lara Croft, I figured maybe I oughta give these games a try. The only thing I need now is a black PlayStation 1 game console.

Original Tomb Raider
Having spawned at least four or five games after this first one, not to mention the movies, this game was one of the most prominant titles on Playstation. The gameplay is a great, third person shooter for the most part. The story line is interesting enough to keep you playing. While the old Playstation 1 graphics can't compare to modern 360 or PS3 graphics, it doesn't make much of a difference because the game is such a classic. Or were you dissapointed, wondering how you could of like such a cheap faze of a game where the only thing that really pushed it was the cutting edge graphics of the time. Fortunally, the points that made Tomb Raider the hit that it was is still here; a good story and the real kicker, all the exploring you do in the game to find every last secret! Given, the graphics are almost painfully dated compaired to the modern game systems of today- X-Box 360, Playstation 3 and Wii. At the time of her release Tomb Raider, it was the cutting edge of 3-D graphics and the first game to go completely third person. I'm even betting that if young kids of today ... I'm even betting that if young kids of today who are spoiled on high end graphics gave this game a chance for an hour, they would be hooked in the adventure of exploring all corners of the game. The game starts you off as the main character Lara Croft. The screen follows Lara as she explores her landscapes. Sometimes you get so busy exploring, the game usually throws you a few nasty surprise attack that really do catch you off guard. You know- you're looking at an edge you think you can make it to if you can find a path and then WAM!! You just got attacked by a wolf or bear or someother creature that was just around the bend or in another room. Well, Lara is armed so after a few surprise attacks, you get into the mode of pulling out the guns when you enter a new area. But you do have to put the guns away to really explore because she can't climb with her hands full. As you keep looking for hidden areas, the game does reward you with new weapons, ammo and health packs. Believe me, once you reach the end of the game, you're going to need alot of health packs for alot of healing. The other nice feature of this game is the tension it builds when you are exploring underwater caves and cities. Lara can hold her breath awhile, but usually what you look for underwater will strech the limit of her breath as you look for that critical lever that will open a hatch underwater that leads to air. Sometimes you have to find it because you're too far into the underwater maze to backtrack to you entrance point to catch her breath again. The music in this game is sparce but all of it is very well done. When a tune picks up, it's usually a good warning that something is up. Well, this is about as much as I care to describe this game without ruining the story. The Graphics are from the 32 bit era and the controls go back to before Analoge controlers, but the sound is solid and the gameplay still more than makes up for this being a 15 year old game. Once you beat it, this game will definitely have you coming back for round 2. This game could be considered a faze, but if it is, its a very well thought out one with a main character which millions of players refuse to forget. I know I'm one of them, could you be one too?
