Absolutely the overall best portable air compressor/tire inflator!
After doing a considerable amount of research on various units available on the market, I decided to go with the newest Kobalt Electric Portable Air Compressor/Tire Inflator, for several reasons. First, its one of the few compressors out there, that can run on BOTH DC (off of a car battery) as well as on AC, (plugged into an outlet) which makes it very versatile, in that I can use this both on the road as well as in my shop. Secondly, it has a digital read out, which is very easy to read, and its easy to use. Just set your desired PSI amount, with up and down arrow keys and push the start button, and it will fill your tire and then will shut-off automatically when you reach the desired PSI pressure. And in checking it with a high-end, professional grade tire air gauge, I found that the ... And in checking it with a high-end, professional grade tire air gauge, I found that the pressure reading on the Kobalt unit was very accurate. Thirdly, you can store both the DC, the AC power cord, as well as the air connection hoses right on-board the unit, which is very convenient. Some people have complained that the air hose might be a bit too short, but I didn't find that to be a problem, as I used the unit right near the tire. However, you can purchase air extension hoses online, if you think its necessary (I didn't think it was necessary.) Also, some people complained about the short AC cord, which also stores nicely on the backside of the unit, but I didn't find this to be a problem either, as I just used it on a shop extension cord (so its no big deal!) Fourth, I like the construction and design with its built in carry handles. Nice design style. It also has a nice built-in LED work light, if needed. A nice feature! Overall, I thought it was a well designed, well built product, and it worked quickly and accurately. Within just a few minutes I was able to inflate a large truck tire, (that was almost completely flat.) I would recommend to users of this product to add an extra half pound to full pound of air to the amount you pre-set in, to compensate, for the amount of air that gets compressed and stored in the air line itself, which you will lose once you disconnect the air house. I would also recommend using a tire gauge, with a bleed valve, and fill the air up to slightly more then your desired PSI amount, then check it with a tire gauge and then simply bleed-off any excess air if necessary, until you reach your exact desired PSI amount. This is a great product, it works well, its built well, its designed well, and I would highly recommend it!!

Kobalt air compressor does the job
I wanted to have something at home and on the road to keep my cars tires at the correct PSI. I like that it works by both 12V/120V, it's easy to set at desired PSI with auto shut off, quick to use and easy to store. It's not the quietest thing in the world but so what. It feels substantial, not like it will break any time soon either, I looked at similar units and I'm happy that I bought this one.I wanted to have something at home and on the road to keep my cars tires at the correct PSI. Kobalt inflator
Love it we have three, one for each car and purchased two more for gifts. Easy to use and better than most. Let’s you know how much air is already in the tires and stops at the pressure you choose. Nice thing is it’s also electric

Great dual powered unit
Love the digital readout and programmable shutoff feature this offers. It’s easy to find, looks totally different from others and like having grab handles. Solid built and does what it is designed to do. You will need an extension cord for the 120v hookup, but plenty of cord available for the 12v.

Great AC/DC inflator
Great inflator. I always had problems before, with carrying these small compressors but this one has four handles that will not fail. My best use for this unit is as a tire inflator. You can lock the inflator tube onto the valve stem and plug it in. You get a read out of the pressure before you inflate. There is a second value in the bottom right hand corner of the screen that indicates the desired pressure. Using the up/down buttons you set the pressure you want and everything else is automatic. It will run until the desired pressure is achieved and then shut itself off, no checking pressure while filling. It's RELATIVELY quiet and fast. I usually set the desired pressure a pound or two above what I desire as some is lost when disconnecting the inflator tube. Although this unit ... Great inflator.
