Product Information

Get the photos you want with the Slik Pro 700DX Tripod. Slik use a tri-titanium alloy composed of aluminum, magnesium, and titanium alloy to manufacture the 700DX. This combination of alloys allows the tripod to hold up to 15 pounds on the head, which is a 40 percent greater strength to weight ratio than other tripods of similar design, with either pan head technology or ball head technology. The carbon fiber design makes the 700DX tripod a sturdy and strong piece of photography equipment. It works well to support DSLR or 35 millimeter cameras on the pan head. It can also support medium format cameras and some portable field cameras and accessories. Cameras with telephoto and zoom lenses also work well using this Slik tripod, as the sturdy construction allows for the use of heavier lenses on the head. The Slik 700DX tripod has adjustable legs that lock quickly into place, making it easy to move the tripod around when taking a photo. The legs of the tripod attach to a two-part center column, which is two center pieces that unscrew, to create a shorter top part. The 3-way leg angle locks let you lock the Slik tripod in position, so you don’t experience accidental spin or tilt when taking a photo or video. The locks are quick release, enabling you to hurriedly move your camera and tripod, to track and center a shot or setup at a different location. With dual alignment grooves on the legs, you will be able to quickly reset the tripod head for the perfect angle. The upper parts of the legs have foam padding, making it comfortable to carry the tripod once it is folded. The tripod folds down to 760 millimeters and will fit in your camera bag with your other photography gear and accessories. The feet of the tripod have rubber leg tips so you can feel secure knowing your tripod won’t slip during use. This Slik tripod extends to a full 74.8 inches, enabling you to get high shots and shoot over tall grasses or bushes when engaging in nature photography.

    It is a truly professional tripod for an amateur price.

    I bought this tripod because I had to replace an identical one that I finally managed kill. I used the previous one for over eight years quite extensively and it really got a rough treatment. When I finally broke one of the leg stops there was little paint left and the legs have experienced the waters of just about every ocean in the world. Being 6 feet tall, I find this tripod to be of a good working height. The legs extend and retract easily, even after many years of use and most of all, it is just as rigid as one of the really big and heavy carbon fibre legs that cost ten times as much. It is perfectly well suited for field use as long as the camera and lens are not extremely heavy. It would be nice if spike feet could be fitted.

    Very high quality

    I looked around a while before buying this tripod and this one seemed to have the best reviews out there. After setting it up it was clear that it was of very high quality and very sturdy. I like all the different positions it will hold the camera with no fear of the camera falling off or tripod falling over. Definitely not for use when traveling as it is very heavy. All in all I would definitely recommend.

    Excellent

    I am 6'4" tall. This tripod allows me to comfortably take picturs without having to use an awkward stance... Even star shots. It is very table as well as being easily adjustable to any terrain. The only possible drawback would be its weight. I like it because of the stability it adds, but, others may find it a bit heavy.

    It Is Rock Steady!

    I bought this tripod needing something a little more heavy duty than I was using. It is a little on the heavy side to carry around but I would if I needed to. Using my heaviest lens and camera combination it has been rock steady. It is a keeper for me.

    Great Tripod!

    Just what I was looking for... I can shoot photos of the moon without having to bend down to focus. The height is adjustable so I can shoot the sky , landscapes or portraits with ease. One of my best investments for my photo gear collection. Price was great too.
