With 18 songs, this is a great value; original, tasteful, and heartfelt.
This is a great album by Anberlin I have enjoyed for years; so much so, that I decided to go out and buy the real thing even though I have very little money to do that sort of thing. This CD by Anberlin was meant to be an oddities CD, so you wouldn't expect much from it, but quite to the contrary, I actually have listened to it more than any other album by Anberlin (and I'm a huge fan who has the full discography, and like all of their albums!). I would recommend this album if you like good songs made acoustic. Not all songs on the album are acoustic, but that's the focus. Several of their best songs are done acoustic. They also cover a few good songs by other artists, some of which you've heard of (i.e. "Like a Rolling Stone") and some of which you haven't, but really grow on you ... This is a great album by Anberlin I have enjoyed for years; so much so, that I decided to go out and buy the real thing even though I have very little money to do that sort of thing. The last track really tickles me, because it is their epic Glass to the Arson song, done videogame style! It's a lot of fun to listen to; reminiscent of Mario soundtracks. Over all, this is a great album to listen to over and over and sing along to. I have another friend who has also become addicted to this album; she actually likes it more than their other stuff believe it or not. I highly recommend, unless you simply don't like acoustic songs at all, or albums that are not compact.

Undone and Re-done
Lost Songs is a combination of Anberlin's most popular songs preformed in acoustics and a hodge-podge of mellow-dramatic classics. In Aberlin's own acoustic songs, without the background music and hard instrumentals, one is pulled in to the utmost depth of the song and the lyrics. To speak of the other songs that were redone on this album, such as Creep, Anberlin did a phenomenal job. They kept with the original purpose of the song, instead of derailing or distorting the original instrumentals or changing the rhythm. Anberlin has a way of capturing the words of the heart when it is hard to capture the essence of your own emotions. My favorite song on this album is Inevitable, which outlines the reminiscent outlook on the innocence of being a child and the relationships there in. Lyrics ... Anberlin is the greatest band EVER!
Great CD Anberlin is simply amazing! I have seen them live many many times and the sound just as good live as the do on the cd. They are a very down to earth group and have no problem whatsoever talking with there fans and actually getting to know them! Awesome!!!!
