    A very informitive book

    This " the Essential Blender " instructional book is a great investment if you want to learn how to use Blender Software , the CD is also a big timesaver , I would gladly recommend this book to a person who is will to learn , very quickly , how to apply all the different aspects of this great software .

    Great book for the newbie!

    This book takes you through the basics of understanding and using Blender. Of all the books I have read, this one hits the nail on the head. It is written with the beginner in mind and walks you through the steps of learning the software before using it. This book will take you from newbie to expert in no time and is written in a format that is easy to understand and follow. My only gripe is that the pictures were small and hard to see but if you follow the text you can see it in full size on your screen. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn and use Blender.

    This book is for an extremely outdated version of Blender, 2.44

    While the information and teaching is good, it's for an extremely old version of blender which will only be useful for people who need to use the older version for plugins that can only be used for it like modding for older games like Oblivion for example. So caveat emptor, if you want to learn blender, there are plenty of sources, but this is good for nostalgia. :D
