Good Customer support, not so good tech support.3rd board works fine so far
First board had no video. Sent unit to company to check problem. Came back with wrong board installed(did not work). Sent this board back for replacement. New board workks fine. Customer support person did a good job of trying to correct issue, technical support did a poor job of handling situation. Last correspondence I had was they were sending me a power cable that was left off of the board when I send the wrong one back - I had to purchase a cable to complete the repair. I am writing this message on the unit that was repaired. I hope that it will not fail as I do not wish to have to wait 2-3 months to get it right next time. Chad - sorry you did the best you could, you may want to find some qualified repair techs that know the differencr between board #'s......First board had no video. Not a fan could have been worse though could have been a mac. lol
Not the best series of motherboard had a manufacture defect (If you could call it that). How do you miss that the heat sink is not making proper contact with the gpu? The gpu does not cool properly to the heat pipe a copper shim must be put in between chip and cooler so it can cool. I bought the product because the improper cooling on the original board actually damaged the board could not reseat the gpu was black around edges. So in all i would say a decent board. although in order for the board to last you must do the fix put in the copper shim people. And if you are lucky by the time you need to put it in it wont be scorced around the edges. symptom would be no video or intermittent video. refurbish or use, and defective
They lie to me this item is not new and it came defective. They send me a second board also refurbish and defective. I'm asking for my refund. This was a waste of my time, very very bad experience. Scam.

HP Laptop Motherboad
I live in a Community of 5000 Homes and work on Desktop and Laptop Computers. A fellow Computer Tech wanted me to take a look at this HP Laptop that was not working. All the lights came on no screen and no POST. I told him that the Motherboard had to be replaced. He did not want to invest in a MB, and gave me the Laptop for some other work I had done for him. I purchased this replacement MB, changed it out, and the HP Laptop came to life with no problems. I upgraded the HDD, maxed out the Memory, and reloaded Vista. Dead on arrival.
Since this laptop is getting to the point that spending too much in fixing it is simply not worth the cost, I crossed my fingers on this one. I assume this motherboard suffers from the same problem with the video chip that the original does. It was not working,
