In this third installment to the 90s grouped series of the Dark Kight, the battle fronts for both Batman and his villians are getting bigger and bigger. After two Batman films, michael Keaton has retired the cape and passed it on to Val Kilmar. Val is able to really personalize the character of Bruce Wayne, the supporting ego of Batman. From a freak accident at the Gotham City Circus Tent, the mother and father of the trapeeze act have been brutally killed by Harvey Two-Face(Tommy Lee Jones), the youngest of the boys, Richard Garyson,(Chris O'Donnell) attaches himself to Bruce after Bruce invites him to live at the Wayne Estate, having no family to run to. As the Riddler, Carrey and Tommy Lee make a great duo of wit and class in the acting, making some of the dark humor of the film rather enjoyable to watch.

Concerning The 90's Films, This Batman Will Be Forever!
First off, I am well aware I am going to get sh*t over this. Ready? Ever since I saw the third installment Batman Forever in the theatres in 1995 I've loved this movie. LOVED IT! But lately due to all the Dark Knight fandom, most people are now saying the original four are now complete garbage, even the first one because Nicholson's Joker wasn't serious like how Ledger's is. Does anyone remember when Batman was fun? What I mean is when I saw the tagline for TDK with "Why So Serious?", I wanted to ask Christopher Nolan the same thing. While visually I thought Batman Begins was mighty impressive, where was all the spectacle, flash, and yes, humor? Maybe this is the Batman we all dreamed about, and now we got him, but to me we lost a little something along the way. Sure, when these things ... Sure, when these things are added too much in the mix creates the complete utter disaster Batman And Robin, but when Joel Schumacher first took the reins he added all the parts equally and perfectly in Forever. Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones played perfect "over-the-top" villians Riddler and Two-Face, Nicole Kidman was placed as the love interest at just the right volume, Chris O'Donnell's Robin, while still a tad unnecessary, showed that Batman can (and maybe should) still work with a partner, and finally Val Kilmer proved their was life after Michael Keaton. But did we all forget that this is based on a comic-book? Oh, sorry fanboys...graphic novel ? . Anyway, I'm positive The Dark Knight is a far superior film, but there's still something to be said about the first three at least. Forever has got to be one of the most colorful films I've ever seen, while in Batman Begins all I see are shades of black and gray. I'm not knocking BBegins at all (and I can't knock TDK either cause I haven't seen it yet), but all I can say is everytime I see Batman Forever on cable my control always stops, while when I see Batman Begins I tend to keep flipping. Why I'm not too sure. But to me, Forever had a great cast, fast paced story, and alot of fun for all to expierence. No, it wasn't too serious. C'mon, if I want serious, I'll turn on the news. Well it does have "Batman" in the title...
I liked this movie when I was younger just because it was a Batman film. I've owned it on VHS and original DVD release. Now I have the 2 disc edition as part of the Batman Film Anthology DVD set. I have seen it recently and its not nearly as good as I thought it was before. It is cheesy at times and the acting of Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones doesn't really fit. But it is a Batman movie and if your'e a fan, you've probably seen it also and have similar feelings.I liked this movie when I was younger just because it was a Batman film. Not the best, but not the worst
Batman Forever - Not the best, but not the worst Val Kilmer takes over as Batman and does a pretty good job. Batman Forever also introduces Chris O'Donnel as Robin. The villains are pretty cool (The Riddler and Two-Face) and the actors that play them do an admirable job. Although a little too cartoony for me, I enjoyed this movie. The only problem I have with Batman Forever is that it gets old fast. Final Verdict: 3/5 Rent or Buy?: Batman Forever is a must buy, it gets old fast, but it's the kind of movie you can rewatch every month or so without getting bored.
