Synopsis
Multi-ring basins are large impact craters formed in the early history of planets. The author gives the definitive geological study of basins on the Moon using data from lunar landings and remote sensing; and goes on to examine the terrestrial planets. Spectacular photographs are used throughout., Multi-ring basins are large impact craters formed in the early history of planets. They critically affect the evolution of the planets and their satellites. The Moon offers an exceptional chance to study these phenomena and this book provides a comprehensive geological study using data from lunar landings and remote sensing of the Moon. The author covers the formation and development of basins and considers their chemistry and mineralogy. He studies their effects on the volcanic, tectonic and geological evolution of the planet, including the catastrophic consequence on the planetary climate and evolution of life. This study is lavishly illustrated with many spectacular, highly-detailed photographs and diagrams.

- o***j (53)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Dernier moisAchat vérifiéThe item was just as described and an amazing price so that's why I'm giving positive feedback. It's over 10 dollars cheaper than average for this item which can't be beat. But man, it took over 20 days to get to me. And when I messaged them I got stock response until finally told it shipped and then it did. That's the problem with this seller, they make the shipping label almost instantly but take weeks to actually send out the item. I dunno if I'll order from them again.
- h***h (177)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Six derniers moisAchat vérifiéI see a number of negative comments about this seller, but I took a chance since it was a great price for the book I was looking for. I ordered on July 2 and just got the book today July 22. It came in safely packed and intact. Condition was as described and expected. The seller uses DHL for shipping, and I think this is where most complaints stem from. Once I ordered the book there was no further info other than it had shipped. No tracking number. Otherwise, I have no issues with this seller.
- r***a (1)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Dernier moisAchat vérifiéitem arrived in condition stated(like new)although there was a delay in it being shipped(not the seller's fault, they shipped it out 2 days after I ordered),both ebay and the seller(World Books USA) got together and solved the problem soon after I contacted them.that to me is a sign of a great seller.item in great condition,at a great price and great they worked hard to get it to me.would buy from this seller again
