Gamers return to the slopes in this third full edition of EA's exaggerated-action snowboarding series, SSX. As the game goes "On Tour," players create their own custom characters, which they'll develop from amateur bunny-hillers to seasoned "Black Diamond" pros. For the first time, the game allows skiers on the mountains as well, and players can decide if they'd rather ski or board when they create their characters. Building upon a distinguishing feature of the series, SSX On Tour features long, seamlessly streaming courses, some of which may take as long as half-an-hour (of real-time) to complete. The slopes are populated with fellow boarders and skiers in this edition, providing some extra personality. Featuring more than 40 songs, the diverse rock soundtrack includes selections by Def Leppard, The Hives, Iron Maiden, Bloc Party, Jurassic 5, and several others.

Solid SSX game, but not my favourite
I like the graphics, the character building options, the tricks, and being able to knock out kids as you fly down the hill I don't like the whole "On Tour" part, too many challenges, awkward layout I first got SSX Tricky, then SSX3 for Gamecube. Tricky was a great sit down and play game, due to simple pick a track and play setup. SSX3 was good because you could race the whole mountain (although 30 minutes was a bit much). For some reason though, On Tour just doesn't feel the same. There is too much overhead, too much extra stuff making it awkward to just sit down and play a simple race. Also, some of the tracks were too busy (maybe I just can't seem to avoid the trees) In conclusion, it's a good game, but not my favourite SSX on the Cube. I just don't have the time to put into building ... A good game, not the best snowboard game i've played
I really like playing this game. The gameplay is a lot of fun. I think they could have had a more variety of tricks. I also didn't think the storyline was too great. I love hitting huge insane jumps. It is so fun. You can do some very insane tricks. I didn't think setting up my rider was all that cool either. There werent enough options to choose from. The option to ski is pretty cool. The soundtrack is pretty sweet also. There are some runs that kinda suck. Sometimes there are just trees you have to dodge. I also don't really like racing. Overall, I really enjoyed this game. Always wanted this game because the nintendo characters are included in the gamecube version,in my opinion great game!

Under rated classic
Came in near perfect condition, loved this game as a kid and does not disappoint, and killer early 2000s soundtrack
