I bought this unite o replace an older unite with less stops. It is and has worked well. I would think that one might think about the motor type thing to make it work, Not the hand crank thing. I had a gear drive on the old unite and went to the new band drive for this one, old gear drive is 20 + years old and still works, just makes a lot of noise, this with the band drive I cannot hear it work and that may a good thing or a bad thing, I am 68 years old and, well hearing is not one of my strong points. Use of a Atlas Turntable
I Purchased & installed ATLAS Turntable, Motor, & Round house wired it up using Bachmann DC Transformer Looks very real and works perfect I also wired track inside round house so train can park inside and then come out under there own power it is hooked up to DCC Trains. Hand crank works great but I perfered to use electric motor to turn TurnTable

Extremely easy to incorporate into any layout.
Turntable was easy to install/mount into my layout. Directions were a breeze to follow. Wiring was equally simplistic and operation is accurate to a fault. Install and operation are fully integrated to my layout need after roughly four hours of planning and incorporating with roundhouse and track design. I would recommend this motorized turntable to anyone looking to add the feature to their layout.Turntable was easy to install/mount into my layout. Directions were a breeze to follow. Small & smart
Atlas Ho Turntable has a very nice size and a 15° design solution that make possible to easily fit 6 stalls for locomotives lower than 9”. It’s an excellent product for small size ho layouts. Its mechanism has a good precision. The only issue is the noisily motor sold separately.

Table is suitable for short length engines.
The table rotates as advertised, lining up with the various incoming tracks perfectly. The problem is the table diameter is too small. I can only use my small 0-6-0 switch engine and tender which will barely fit (engine cow catcher and tender coupler extend beyond the rotating table).
