    I just repurchased this book (I forget who I loaned my copy to) having followed its plan in 2010 at age 54. I dropped 29 pounds in the 12 weeks and all my aches and pains just disappeared. I started skiing again, running again...it felt like I'd dropped 30 years. Wow, what an experience! I'm now 61 and still following the principles of the program proposed by Bill Phillips. This volume is great because it leads you along your 12 week journey, one week at at time, telling you what to expect along the way. Every week was right on target with what occurred with my body and my self-esteem. It contains great encouragement by way of the stories of others who have taken the challenge. I took my copy to a printer and had it spiral bound so I could use it more easily during workouts.
