    A Wonderful Clear & Complete Drawing Book

    This is a wonderful book that I recommend to students who want to learn to draw. It's clear and helpful to a beginner who hasn't had much drawing experience. Alain Picard starts with supplies, even how to hold the pencil, then progresses to line, shape, value and three-dimensional objects. He uses units of measurement to help students draw more accurately and finishes with a portrait study.

    A great Alain J. Picard book!

    Excellent book with good insights on basic drawing concepts which can be ported well to pastels, watercolor or oil.
