Air out the tights, slip on the mask, don the cape, and prepare to flex some muscles in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, an action role-playing game featuring the largest cast of costumed crusaders and mutant messiahs in a video game to date. Twenty Marvel superheroes have joined forces to combat the diabolical Dr. Doom and his Masters of Evil. The action will take players to Atlantis, the Skrull home world, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-Carrier, and more as they guide a four-person party through 17 comic book-inspired locales. Moves include a flurry of air and ground strikes, from grapples and blocks to chargeable powers and deadly combos. Objects within the environment can also cause damage, and a choice of one- and two-handed weapons can help less extraordinary heroes mete out justice against throngs of enemies.<br><br>As players decide on which heroes to enlist in their super group, including such iconic characters as Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Thing, Captain America, Elektra, and Thor, they can customize their team's name, icon, and vehicle. The party's reputation will increase over time through heroic deeds and by successfully completing mission objectives, allowing players the opportunity to further enhance the team's or a specific character's attributes. The cast includes more than 140 comic book characters in total, many of which are available in the single-player storyline and can be unlocked for multiplayer action. The latter supports both cooperative and competitive battles, with in-game statistics tracked for each team as they earn experience points and receive powerful new equipment. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance also features unlockable bonus content, such as alternate costumes that modify a character's base statistics in the areas of defense, melee damage, and so forth.

    Fun Marvel RPG!!!

    Pros + Tons of characters & powers to learn. + RPG from the Marvel universe. + Co-op & online play. Cons - A lot of Marvel characters either are not playable or M.I.A. Plus 2 characters less than PS3 version. - Fighting can tend to be repetitive. Comments This is only the beginning of games involving the entire Marvel Universe. Real time strategy will keep even an RPG hater interested enough to play through. There are only about 5 real CGI cutscenes and they look amazing. One of the biggest disappointment may be no Hulk or Punisher as well as a lot of other characters who won't be included. But most people will have their hands full trying to decide who to pick for their team anyway so it may be for the better. Verdict Must play for any fan of Marvel comics if not a must have title.

    Good graphics for PS2... and very good story line

    This is a game I was hearing alot of buzz on... so I had to check it out. Upon purchasing the game i was first impressed with the game graphics(for PS2) ... the gameplay is excellent ... there is a wide range of characters and the special moves of each charater will keep you impressed... The major objective of the game is to play as a team all the time..i.e at any time whether you are playing alone or with friends (1-4)...you always have four characters to play with(may get a little confusing as a one player ..until the moves of each hero on your team is learnt)...the game is quite consistent with its name MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE...hence it is a team of heroes you are playing with all the time. Again, once the moves of each hero is learnt... the action really begins at that point.. There ...

    Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for PS2

    I find it very hard to give this a 5 of 5 simply because it would have to be pristine perfect in every way. If E-Bay had a decimal system it would have a 4.5 or 4.6 though. Pros: Most Heroes and Villains ever assembled in a video game....ever. Wonderful graphics. Many costumes covering all Marvels History. Really awe inspiring cut scenes. My favorite is the Asgard battle with Loki and the guards. Lots and lots of one liners from the characters you expect to have them (i.e. Deadpool, Spider-Man, Wolverine). Cons: Let down that the PS2 that revolutionized console gaming didn't receive one unlockable "special" character like the Wii/360 got. As of this review no content available download made available for the PS2 just X-360, and that's still in the works. Overall great game an ...

    He loves it mainly because it has most of the Marvel Characters in it

    Plays well and came just as described. Thanks! I didn’t get it for me. I got it for my son. He loves it. He’s just getting into all the Marvel movies right now. So, he had to have the game. Mind you my son is 24! LOL! Had the game when he was like 13 and had me sell it cause he got mad at it when he couldn’t beat it. So, now I’m bugging him about it. 😂 LOL! I’m rolling!!!

    written by Casey he is 8 Best part is that it is fun to knock heads graphics are really good controls are easy to use I like that you can make your own team on normal the game seems easy I like the powers you get to use such as, Wolvie's claw slash do not let the game auto set your powers!!!! do it yourself and load up your favorites I recommend buying this game should be played with friends and/or family
