      20th Century Anarcho-Comedy Genius

      We moved in together last year, and to our shame discovered that neither of us owned this. I rectified our collective shame by buying it for my partner for Christmas. Ok, for me. For us. For all humankind. We can now re-live our separate teenage experiences together. I shudder to imagine what would have become of British comedy if Rik, Ade and co hadn't booted it up the harris when they did, but that boot left a mighty impression in the right places. Go on, treat yourself, you complete and utter b*stard.

      Iconic slapstick comedy that every university student can easily relate

      'The Young Ones' helped to define Thatcher's 1980s and launched the careers of Rik Mayall and Ade Emondson (Bottom, New Statesman, Comic Strip Presents etc) in particular. These anarchic students successfully mixed together; teenage banter, slapstick, politics, Monty Python and live music to produce a unique and iconic humour, which has rarely been matched since. An excellent collection of comedy sitcom ............. so, just break open a few cans, kick off your shoes, sit back and enjoy!!
