Product Information

Dr. Seuss' classic, environmentally themed children's book comes to the big screen in this tale of a young boy who encounters a cantankerous forest creature after venturing outside of his artificial city in search of a tree. Ted (voice of Zac Efron) lives in a town where nothing is quite as it appears; everything is plastic, including the plants. Hopelessly smitten by the beautiful Audrey (voice of Taylor Swift), who dreams of one day seeing a real tree, Ted boldly leaves the city determined to find the flora and grant her wish. Along the way, the young adventurer crosses paths with the Lorax (voice of Danny DeVIto), a diminutive, mustached defender of nature who doesn't take kindly to human intruders. The better Ted gets to know the Lorax, however, the more he learns that his newfound friend has good reason for being a bit surly. Also featuring the voices of Betty White, Ed Helms, and Rob Riggle.

Environmental Advocacy from The Lorax!
Remember the message and the trees! Hawley Pratt’s animated short film The Lorax (1972) is an adorable family picture with a sadly timeless environmentalist message about protecting the forests, air, and water before it’s too late. Dr. Seuss’ writing is so striking as he critiques capitalism, deforestation, product marketing, greed, ignorance, economic depression, dishonest economics, real estate markets, air pollution, water pollution, animal relocation, animal extinction, and littering all in one brief story. The Lorax remains an important tale to be told to all boys, girls, and adults as well for we live on one planet that we must all share or perish on together if we fail to protect our shared living space. Dr. Seuss’ writing will live on for its heartfelt authenticity and creative ... Remember the message and the trees! He represents the progressive political party and environmentalist protesters against corporate destruction of trees, breathable air, and livable clean water. It’s fitting that The Oncler’s vicious, insatiable greed will not let him listen to The Lorax’ pleas with any respect, reverence, or fairness. The Oncler is the perfect metaphor for ignorant conservatives not heeding the warnings of scientists and doctors about our dying planet Earth and its safe conditions. Having The Lorax end with hopeful desolation will surely shock the viewer into listening to The Lorax’ kind words of wisdom and crucial warning. Hawley Pratt was a fantastic direction to keep The Lorax endearing and humorously portray a significant concern of Dr. Seuss’ that affects all of humanity. The Lorax is just 25 quick minutes that fly by thanks to the gorgeous hand drawn animation, memorable songs, witty lyrics, thoughtful approach, and dark realism that is unique for Dr. Seuss. You’ll enjoy the deceptively bright songs and once you’re older, you’ll realize how clever Seuss really was all the time. The vivid colors for the lush trees and hand painted backdrops are quite beautiful and serene. I still adore the little fuzzy orange environmentalist symbol of The Lorax. In short, The Lorax is still my favorite Dr. Seuss animated short for its undeniably powerful parable. Protect the environment and the trees! Heed The Lorax!

Super cute yet educational!
I have 4 kids and this movie is great for all of them! It teaches my 9, 7, and 6 year old to take care of the earth and still entertains! My 3 year old even loves it! She may not understand the underlying meaning but she will in a couple years. Would buy this over and over!

The blu-ray/dvd combo pack is amazing! :3 It bundles both the blu-ray disc and Dvd disc. The quality of the movie is amazing! The bonus features were awesome especially since you get the same features on both discs since its a combo pack except Dvd doesn't have blu-ray features that the blu-ray has. I love the Lorax movie! I've seen it 14 times and its a classic to have in your movie library! The music, the animation (even the details which you gotta use a keen eye to look closely at) and the characters-EVERYTHING including the story was amazing!The blu-ray/dvd combo pack is amazing! :3 It bundles both the blu-ray disc and Dvd disc. Lorax review
I bought this movie for my kids and they absolutely love it! The movie itself is entertaining and has such awesome graphics. My kids love the songs played in the movie, they literally sing and dance along to it. This is such an awesome family movie would totally recommend it.

Wow What can I say but what a great deal! Downloadable code for Computer + regular DVD and an awesome Blue Ray Disc as well , and the difference in colors and depth of picture is very obvious, In the blue Ray. I Would highly recommend for keeping the young ones entertained. This Set is put together very well for the consumer in mind!!
