  • The Waste Lands by Stephen King

This was a good book. An essential part of the 7 part series (this being part 3). The action is just as exciting as the first two books, but a little longer because it includes more character development. It may get a little confusing at points as it bounces from the "old world" to the "moved on" world & there is one very convenient plot twist at a crucial point in the story. But, it doesn't detract much at all. If you are reading the book in series, then this book will leave you wanting to run (or sign on) to get part 4. This is the full series #1 - The Gunslinger #2 - The Drawing of the Three #3 - The Waste Lands #4 - Wizard & Glass #5 - Wolves of Calla #6 - Song of Susannah #7 - The Dark Tower

  • Great Series

The 3rd installment of the Dark Tower series. I've come to love these characters and their weird version of the world.

  • Stephen King at his best!

Stephen King is at his best in the Dark Tower Series and Dark Tower III, the Wastelands, is no exception. King manages to incorporate multiple levels of reality into a storyline that at once seems perfectly natural and believable. Further, as you follow the characters through this series you are reacquainted with characters from other novels. I feel you will enjoy the Wastelands but I strongly urge the reader to follow the books in order. Begin with Book I and follow each in numerical order. It will allow for a smooth flow of story. If you do not not know the correct order of the books you may find this information on sites such as Amazon.com or Wikipedia. I did not begin listening the the series until I owned all the books.

  • Gripping from start to finish!

The Wastelands is book 3 in the magnificent Dark Tower series, and it just keeps getting better and better. In The Wastelands, Eddie & Susannah are truly beginning to accept their fate, or ka, as gunlingers. Even battling his beliefs, Eddie cannot deny the ka-tet and as he starts to bury his past, his part in that ka-tet becomes more and more significant. Once again, linking our world with that of Roland of Gilead, there are no coincidences. Back in New York, ka also has a role & once again links the two worlds - something that must be done before Roland loses his sanity. The growing group - in number and in strength - travel in the path of the beam, finally seeing signs of life, both good and bad. Roland is the last gunslinger, welcomed by those who miss the days before the world moved ...

  • The Waste Lands

Stephen King is 2nd on my list of all time greatest authors ( First is Dean Koontz ), I just wish he could write a book a week, Then I wouldnt have to keep waiting for the next one to come out. Im not going to go into details about the book as if you are like me, I prefer to not know anything untill I start reading about it in the book, I have read most of his books so far and I love them all. So as you can probably guess from what I wrote above, I highly Recomend this book.
