Product Information

On vacation the last time the Sims came to visit? Wondering what all the fuss is about? If so, Electronic Arts is releasing The Sims: Double Deluxe for those who initially missed out on 2000's best-selling computer game and its subsequent expansion packs. Now players can revisit the full version of The Sims as well as its first two add-on discs, Livin' Large and House Party. Players will create a simulated people and drop them into a community where they can meet other Sims, initiate romantic relationships, develop a career, and more importantly, satisfy their materialistic desires by buying as much wild and crazy furnishings as possible to deck out their homes.<br><br>Each expansion pack increases the number of available items to place in one's dwelling, from heart-shaped beds to home chemistry labs. Also included are new characters and locations to spice up the Sims' digital lives. In addition to the original game and two add-ons, Double Deluxe includes The Sims Creator, an editing tool used to change the appearance of Sims right down to the accessories they wear. Adventurous types can even import digital photos onto their Sims and see how well their likenesses fare in settings such as an underground rave or tropical luau. Bonus content includes new wall types, floors, and both African and Asian inspired themes, along with extras originally available on the Internet, such as carnivorous plants and mistletoe.

    Amazing game, even after the Sims 3 it got me back.

    A great gust of nostalgia overtook me and I had to have The Sims again. It is one of the greatest games ever made, and it doesn't need reviews for that, the sheer numbers of sales can vouch for that. Great gameplay, amazing fun, open-ended, and the ability to create as much as possible. I've always loved the gameplay and controlling another little person (or persons), and the architecture tools in this game were top-notch for the day. Pros: Open-ended Infinite replayability Lots of expansions with more objects Cons: Children never grow up Not as many interactions as the Sims 2/3 obviously.

    Too complicated for me

    I enjoyed the original Sims and thought I would appreciate some more features. I went through the tutorial and tried to play "The Sims 2 Double Deluxe". I had trouble controlling the game well enough to even begin playing. I spend very little time playing computer games so this title is not for me. It looks like it would be a lot of fun for someone with the time or talent to learn to use it. I really like the concept of the Sims aging and passing on their characteristics to their offspring. I'm not going to even try The Sims 3.

    Amazing game!

    The Sims has been and always will be my absolute favorite game ever. Amazing idea, incredible game, and creative gameplay. The Sims just gets better and better with each new one.

    Best Sim game series!

    The original Sims is a classic, its fun, it has potential. the idea of it is wonderful! Ive been a Sims fan ever since this came out! hooked me for life on house awesome it is! Maxis you rule!

    Super deluxe version of classic game

    Bought this game for my 12 yr old who got into the original Sims game. Boy does he love it. With the other expansion packs, this is the most awesome simulation game ever.
