Bomberman: Act Zero is a stinkbomb that you don't want

To charge gamers $50+ retail for this train wreck is a big mistake. You would expect a game like this to come out on the DS or PSP, and be fun – but not on the 360 where it just drags. Though it is not the worst game out there, it does do disjustice to the Bomberman games of past. As a big fan of the Bomberman games, and almost failing my freshman year because of the series, it is dispointing to see this game. If you must, rent it and play it, but for $50+ after tax, this is one that you should wait to go to $20 or get it dirt cheap on EBAY. OVERALL Average: 7/20 = 1.75/5 = 35% Sorry Bomberman, you failed to make the grade. This should have been an XBOX Live arcade release.

excited till i played the actual game!
Well a game being re released from one's childhood doesn't always mean it's all that it's cracked up to be. in every way and form it showed promise...cool style and looks, but in the end it's an even simpler version of the original, and you can only play other people if you're online and well lets just say i found one room to play against one other person in the last week...other than that it's just you and the computer and there's no real save points so you go up you eventually die, you start at the main menu! Good idea, Poorly executed
Let's face it, many of the games today are just remakes of older games but with a more adult face. They may change the game a little or a LOT, but the same basic principles stay the same. Bomberman: Act Zero is one of these games. This is the way Bomberman was first imagined, but the graphics hardware of the early 80's couldn't support something so intense. Because of this, Bomberman was portrayed in a kid-friendly, shiny happyface robot form. He's not. Bomberman is a robot, a ruthless killing machine. He uses high-grade demolition charges to kill things. In my opinion, this is the first game to do good ol' BM some justice. Unfortunately, without XBox Live, you cannot save your progress through the game. It's a pretty long game, too. Also, it does get rather repetitive... It's worth a few ... The game is not as addictive as it used to be especially without Bomberman. No local multiplayer
The product itself is solid. However, it features no local multiplayer... Thus it significantly lowers it's playability and value within the Bomberman series.
