  • All Aboard! This is the Last Train to Bucketheadland!

I heard this album for the first time almost by accident. It was like nothing I've ever heard before, and was my first exposure to Buckethead. That was a couple years back. Since then I have been spreading the word. In my opinion, this album is a MUST for anyone who is even casually interested in Buckethead. A couple tracks take some getting used to, and I will admit that at first, "Bing and Grab" was my favorite cut, but as time has gone on, I've learned to appreciate (and prefer) such tracks as "Last Train", "Onions Unleashed", and my personal favorite, "Post Office Buddy". Do yourself a favor, and listen to the whole album from start to finish (don't shuffle it). It makes much more sense that way - then again, if it makes sense to you, then you, my friend, are pretty twisted, as ...

  • Absolute must have!

I paid almost $50 for the Japanese import several years ago and...it was worth every penny! I was floored when I first listened to it. I had a grin on my face from the first minute to the last, with a few confused and impressed faces in there along the way. This album has a ton of diversity and really shows Buckethead's respect for the work of Randy Rhoads, especially with "Welcome to Bucketheadland." The chugging style is also found on his great cover of various themes from Star Wars. Personal favorites include "Want Some Slaw?" with its just plain great riffs and amazing drumming (dig those crazy fills!), the great intro "Welcome to Bucketheadland," "Binge and Grab," a very mature and well-written tune, "Onions Unleashed," with the funny narrative followed by brutal shredding, "Star ...

  • Giant Robot - Buckethead

Everyone has different tastes...I noted another reviewer saying to avoid this CD. He don't know what he is talking about, for this is definately a must have for Buckethead fans. This is not Buckethead's best release but it is definately above average, particularly if you consider the records he has made with Travis Dickerson. It easily rates a 4 when compared to other Buckethead releases and a 5+ when compared to other artists. 4/27/06 Today I went back and read the entire review that was written by the Epinions guy. He does not get Buckethead. That would be like me reviewing an opera. He even listed Colma and Monsters & Robots in the same sentence! Monsters & Robots is a commercial record that is heavily influenced by Les Claypool. Buckethead is not a commercial musician, he is a real ...

  • Buckethead Stomp

I knew a little about Buckethead from the Primus dvd/video,and i thought he shredded well in between nunchuck moves.I decided to buy some of his solo stuff.I found out this guys been busy for 15+ years.Underground, unless your from California.Playing with an array of rock musicians from Les(Primus)to Serj(System of a Down),and funk masters Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrel. His music is unique, weird, and awesome at this same time. This disc is all of those things and more.A mix of samples, beats and ofcourse shredding.A wise man once said "Free your mind and your ass will follow".He must've been talking about Buckethead.Star Wars nothing but Star Wars.

  • It was like totally bitchin dude!!!

As like I totally said before, it was like totally bitchin dude!!! Like the CD cover was made of plastic and it like opened up and you could see like the CD thing inside it. I am really not sure what you like do with the CD thing, but it has a totally cool like autograph of like this dude that wears a chicken bucket on his head and they call him like Buckethead!!! I like never saw that coming...totally awesome!!!!
