Product Information

The Fulltone GT500 Distortion guitar effect pedal gives you all the grungy distortion you can handle. It includes an overdrive booster as well as a discrete Field Effect Transistor (F.E.T) all in one solidly built package. The Fulltone GT500 F.E.T. gives you the freedom to control volume, overdrive, mid, bass, and highs at the same time. This allows you to let the beast out on driving pieces while providing the sensitivity to let the music ring on quieter tunes. The Fulltone overdrive pedal also includes an innovative series switch that lets you decide which effect goes into operation first. With a simple tap of your foot, load the booster or distortion function in any order you like, effectively giving you two very different sounds from the same piece of music.

    Incredible Distortion

    This is a Great Od/Dist !!!! The OD is loud and clean, incredibly clean !!! But it has grit too, easy AC/DC type rhythm sounds with OD... excellent clean jazzy lead sounds too, the quality of sound/headroom is inspiring ... the distortion is thick and full, with a lot of adjustment in bass, mids, and low. This sounds like an MXR distortion 2, but cleaner, better, way, way, way louder... it works great with single coils, humbuckers. Highly recommend this to anyone going for great rock tones... again ... inspiring tones !!!! Just a joy to play through !!!

    Great flexibility and quality

    Fulltone products are always good. I replaced all of my prior-to-preamp pedals with this one and a Fulltone Clyde wah pedal. No problems and clear signals.

    The GT-500 is a drive tone machine

    If you are looking for a high quality and the flexibility to switch from overdrive to more heavy distortion or simply from an overdrive/distortion to a clean boost, this pedal is for you. The overdrive is very warm and the tone is excellent. I would compare the overdrive a tube screamer with more drive and more bottom end. The distortion can go from very mellow for classic rock to very saturated from heavy metal. This pedal is a high quality professional level pedal. I have been playing for more than 30 years semi-professionally and have own some of the most coveted pedals. The GT-500 is equal or better than many of the classic overdrive pedals. That said, tone is a very elusive and personal taste. This pedal sound awesome with my rig, guitars and style of playing. Good luck ...

    Fulltone GT 500 F.E.T. Distortion Booster/OD

    Handbuilt in California! This pedal is incredible for the distortion as well as the booster/overdrive. This pedal has two options: Distortion and Boost which can be used independently or simultaneously. Wonderful overdriven tones can be had by adjusting the distortion and boost. If you play rock, metal, blues or any other kind of music which requires some meaty gutsy tones then buy the Fulltone and yo uwill be calling up some of the most outrageous guitar sounds!!

    Do Not Buy... SAY WHAT?

    Do not buy this pedal if you have other overdrive/distortion fxs on your pedalboard that you think you will never sell. The GT500 is all that the reviews say. The Dist side is like a Marshall amp. I play a SRV STRAT into a Fender Deluxe Reverb (JJTubes, Weber Blue Dog speaker) with all analog fxs and this thing sings with endless sustain and the richest harmonics. With the boost side engaged, one is in some serious gravy. I own several Fulltone pedals and this is the most musical. The middle toggle switch is such a bonus. This switch simply allows the order of the two fxs to be swapped back and forth. Zep Hendrix ever scooped mids with tight bass and searing highs with sustain for days.... ITS ALL HERE... DO BUY ONE... YOU WANT NEVER SELL IT ! ! !
