Fluval Submersible Mini heater 25Watt
I purchased this Fluval 25W Heater (submersible) for my 5 gallon tank that houses 2 bettas. It has a controllable thermostat, which is the main reason I chose this particular heater. I rated it a 4, due to having to keep checking my tank to ensure it is heating correctly. I have a thermometer strip on the outside of the tank so I can keep a close eye on the temperature. It seems to stay between 80-82 mostly, and that is setting the dial about mid center. I am having to lower it some during the early part of the day, and set it back to the midway setting in the evening. I really think I could have done better selecting a lower wattage for the 5 gallon. Fluval ranks pretty high in product durability, so that is another reason I chose Fluval I would buy another one. Dont think I would use it ... I purchased this Fluval 25W Heater (submersible) for my 5 gallon tank that houses 2 bettas. Fluval 50 Watt Aquarium Heater
The Fluval 50 Watt Aquarium Heater is a great pick for a 2.5 Gallon Aquarium that houses our Betta fish. Bettas do best at about 80-81 degrees. Just remember to make sure you have a thermometer to monitor the actual water temperature..Since the tank is smaller, I will usually set the Fluval thermostat on about 77-79 degrees (this usually keeps the actual water temp in tank about 80-81 degrees). I have several Fluvals and really like them. They are a slight bit smaller than the Marinelands, so they fit a smaller tank much better. So far so good!
I have had this heater for a few months now! It's working good! No problems! Using it in a 3 gallon tank. I had to adjust it a little at a time because of the tank size so I didn't cook my Betta! Once I got it set it has been running perfect! I think I'll be buying this kind of heater again in the future! Thanks for selling this and Thanks for Fluval for making a good heater!

good heater for small aquarium
good heater, works well on small aquarium. Only inconvenient is that you can't see at what temperature you set it so you have to play a bit with it.
