Product Information

Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman star in this, the fourth movie in the venerable FRIDAY THE 13TH series. Though most had written off the series by this installment, in retrospect this looks like it was the best of the series. First, Glover injects some much needed personality into the film as Jimmy, one of the many doomed teenagers at Camp Crystal Lake, and he seems to somehow make the other teens a little more entertaining, including Corey Feldman's Tommy, ostensibly the hero of the picture. Second, and perhaps most importantly, the gore effects her are done by the legendary Tom Savini (DAWN OF THE DEAD), who adds a level of inventiveness to the endless killings that the series hadn't yet experienced. Five more sequels followed.

Friday the 13th 4 "The Final Chapter"
Okay, so put aside all jokes about the fact that it was indeed not the final Jason film(not by a long shot). And also put aside the fact that I am reviewing a film that came out the year I was born, so naturally it lacks in special effects compared to today. That stated, it is in a way the "final Chapter", in that it was the last really good one in the series (Until the remake came out, which was awesome!). Jason dies in this one, and for the films that follow we get zombie, rotting, supernnatural Jason(and one imposter). The film is basically what all the films are; a generic group of sexy teens getting hacked to bits by a lake, but this film introduces a protagonist in young Tommy Jarvis(played by Corey Feldman). He becomes the central figure, sharing some unspoken outcast ... Okay, so put aside all jokes about the fact that it was indeed not the final Jason film(not by a long shot). All in all, its a good 'un, and though some horror buffs will urge you to disregard all of the films after this one, I would urge you to suck them all up and enjoy. Its fun to watch hapless campers chopped up, and I'll watch anything they put out at least once.

Crispin Glover/Corey Feldman - Am I in Horror Heaven?!
How great is this movie? Ok by normal film standards, not very good. But by 80's horror standard this is a classic! Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman are in it, this installment actually pokes fun at the genre and it has all the cheesetastic horror cliches. Boy drowns at Crystal Lake camp while counselors get it on. Boy's mother gets revenge, even on innocent bystanders. Mother gets killed, boy seeks revenge. He gets killed and then comes back, gets killed again and comes back again. We all know Jason's MO - sharp object, soft teenage flesh. Just like the others, this series should have really stopped at this 4th chapter. Get this one and the first 3, after that just catch them on TNT or AMC, they play them around Halloween time.How great is this movie? Ok by normal film standards, not very good. I did not think there was so much nudity in 1983 with this film.
I bought this product because I never got a chance to see the slasher films when I was younger. I was prevented from seeing them. Now that I am older I figured that I would just get all the sequels. I was shocked at all the nudity and looking back I am not mad that I did not get to see this film when I was younger. I don't like the nudity in the film. After watching this, I will not be watching this again for a long time because of the rated R scenes.I bought this product because I never got a chance to see the slasher films when I was younger.
