    Outstanding leadership in Europe during WWII

    Good biography on Major Richard Winter. He was a great leader in the 101st Airborne.

    Good read for anyone...especially for BoB fans

    More information about Dick Winters that will mostly be of interest to people who were "hooked" on the story of this very able Airborne officer as first widely told by Steven Ambrose in Band of Brothers, this time told by a local reporter who came to know him very well. Readers who really want more about Major Winters will probably prefer Beyond Band of Brothers, which is Dick Winters' own book filling in the gaps that were left in the BoB book/series. Buy that first and then pick up this one, is my suggestion.

    My Father Was there

    Read the book and then watch the series. it is almost like memories as if you were there.

    Biggest Brother by Larry Alexander (2005)

    This is a very well written book. It not only goes into more detail that "Band of Brothers" does not tell but it also brings you up to date as to what has happend to some of the members of "E" company. A must read.
