Story Behind the Book I had no idea how clueless I was about men until I interviewed a bunch of them for my last novel. Initially, I just wanted a little insight so I could write my main (male) character. But pretty soon I found myself astonished, over and over again blurting out, "That's what you're thinking?" So I did more interviews. After the novel hit shelves, dozens of women told me they also had been astonished by what I included. Clearly I wasn't the only one who needed more insight on this!     For All Woman, A Must!!!

    If you are in a relationship or ever plan on being in a relationship with a man, then you have to read this book. Men and woman are just "wired" differently. I can't tell you how many times I have taken something personal that a man has done, and I really shouldn't have. This book just plugs you into their brain and lets you understand how and why they act, do, say certain things. It opens your heart to being a better woman for the men in your lives. I loved this book so much I got every woman I loved a copy! Shaunti's 7 Revelations are so eye-opening. "1) Men Need Respect 2) Men are insecure 3) Men are Providers 4) Men want more sex 5) Men are Visual 6) Men are unromantic clods {this is not true} 7) Men care about appearance" It might just seem like simple solutions, but this book is ...

    For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn (2004)

    An excellent read for married women and women that are engaged. If you want to improve your marriage, understand your man better, this book will be very helpful. We often say the same things, but differently and we miscommunicate and misunderstand each other. Shaunti surveyed men and got their honest answers on some very personal and difficult topics. She gives a great definition for what 'respect' means to men and how often we (wives) try to show it (our way) but not the way our husbands need it. It was a great eye opener for me and gave me insight on how I can appreciate my husband better, and in a way that HE knows it!

    Companion to For Men Only

    You really need to have both books. Men are strange because they do not think in an overall manner but instead tend to think lineally - and miss a whole lot of options. They also never ask for other opinions for big decisions but run full speed ahead. This takes some getting accustomed to.

    For Women Only

    I heard the book talked about on a radio program. It sounded like a good book whether your marriage was good or you just wanted to make it better. It was really eye-opening in some places and helped me to better understand how a man is wired so I could understand why they do or don't do or think about things. It really helped me in my relationship with my husband as well as with my son. Although, I must admit it is very difficult to change some of my habits and thinking-like always questioning him on his choice of routes when driving! But I am working on it! I would recommend this book to every female, married or not. In fact I have told at least 10 people about the book and how cheap and easy it is to get it at half.com

    For Women Only

    I bought this book as a bridal shower gift, and got the For Men Only book for the groom. They read it right away! So, that feedback determined that I would buy the book for all my daughters and husbands. It's small, but packed with tons of great advice I wish I'd had when I was newly married. However, this book is NOT just for the newly married. Women of any age and any length of marriage could use the boosts this book provides. In fact, single women could benefit from reading this book for just how to relate to men. Can you tell? I loved it!!
