Another great phone by Samsung, however not exactly perfected yet.
The Samsung Galaxy S4, the 4th phone in Samsung's Galaxy lineup. The phone features a large bright screen. Sometimes a little hard to use for people with smaller hands. The screen is responsive most of the time, however I've see it glitch every once in a while. The phone features a nice list as far as hardware goes. Speed is good. However as many Android users know the software can be very finicky. Sometimes the phone will freeze for a moment. The current update of 4.3 that I received was sub-par, I actually believe that since the update my phone runs a little sluggish. The phone comes with a lot of annoying preloaded Samsung software. We all know that eventually Samsung is going to move away from the Android platform to develop their own OS system, but until then they will just load a ... Having owned 3 androids, blackberry, and 1 iPhone. I will say that the Apple products are still a little more refined. Yes the GS4 has google play market, yes there is way more apps, and yes a lot of the apps for Android are free, but the phone still lacks something. Something that just isn't refined enough just yet. Overall the phone is great, does what it is advertised to do. Most of the time it doesn't give you any headaches, but the product isn't perfect and most likely will never be. I would buy this phone as an upgrade, but I don't necessarily think I would splurge as a out right buy.

"Don't drink the apple koolaid"!
The Samsung Galaxy's have so many features, I don't even have time to learn about them all. I was once told by a Verizon store clerk( when I went into the store to buy an iPhone) that these phones do everything an iPhone does and then some! Then he showed me some tricks! (And he was a former iPhone owner!) What has really sold me on these phones though, is the lightweight, compact size, yet they are large enough and have the features to make them feel very adequate for all my needs. The battery life is outstanding and the storage space just goes on and on! I am a busy senior and a nana, and therefore, I don't have time to sit around playing with my phone like a lot of people do. So trust me when I say, the things that I continue to learn that these phones are capable of are just ... The Samsung Galaxy's have so many features, I don't even have time to learn about them all. Just what I was looking for...Great Phone, Great Features!
Both my wife and son have this same phone now for a couple of years and really like it. I was looking to upgrade an old prepaid phone and decided to get a Galaxy S 4. It's easy to manage the same phone if we have any questions or problems we can ask each other. Battery life depends on how much you use the phone on a daily basis. At the end of the day, I just plug my phone in for an overnight charge and it's ready to go for another full day. Size wise, the Galaxy S 4 is really no bigger than the newer style phones coming out. With an added case for the phone, it easily fits in most if not all of my pockets. Overall, I would recommend this phone to anyone looking to upgrade an older style phone. It has all the features I would ever want in a phone and even more that I'll probably ... Both my wife and son have this same phone now for a couple of years and really like it. It's sad that the price of smartphones continues to go up while the value goes down. New model smartphones cost nearly $700. Lithium Ion battery life is 300-500 charge/discharge cycles, so after a year the battery capacity is reduced enough that the phone won't stay charged all day. The only option with new model phones is to buy a new phone! This is exactly what the phone manufacturers want...to sell you another overpriced phone. Thankfully, this phone has a replaceable battery which you can still readily buy on the internet. Having removable micro SD card makes it simple to expand your memory capacity so you won't run out when you have too many videos, pics and apps. This phone also has a very good camera and great display. It's also just the right size to fit in your pocket and hand. If ... Good enough to buy a second one
I bought a new one about 2 1/2 yrs. ago and my wife needed an upgrade to a smartphone so I bought another for her. It does a fine job for the design of that time and don't really feel the new ones are worth $600+ for a new model. The S4 does everything we need to do and have them loaded up with quite a few apps we need to use. The battery life is not good enough, the new ones aren't either, so I bought some big batteries and cases covers for them $27 and they work plenty long now. I don't really have complaints about the phone other than like many smartphones, they have too much bloatware which we do not use and sucks more power from the battery. The S4 needs more memory, 16gb is not near enough. Would choose another brand if buying new to have the ability to replace the battery and ...
