Brought back from the dead to avenge his untimely demise, Drake will use both his martial arts skills and arsenal of weapons in this third-person shooter from Majesco Sales. The stylistic adventure offers a world no longer limited by the trappings of humanity. Drake now has the power to run up walls and perform backflips, somersault over furniture, and whip out dual pistols to exact the only form of justice that can satisfy his lust for vengeance. Draped in a black trench coat, the title character must travel across Neo Tokyo's dark indoor and outdoor locales while confronting enemy thugs, avoiding searchlights, and finding helpful pickups along the way. <br><br>Drake can swap and use different weapons in either hand for those times when a simple pistol is not enough to handle multiple attackers at once. Interactive environments allow players to knock over objects, smash through windows, and destroy items amidst intense shootouts. In a manner similar to the film The Matrix and in games like Max Payne, players can slow down the action to avoid incoming bullets and for more precise targeting while performing acrobatics. The cartoon-like visuals feature a technology referred to as "rim lighting," a software-generated process that highlights textures and helps create more dramatic silhouettes and shadows.

This game is hilariously... bad.
So Drake of the 99 Dragons is a game you’ll never forget. It has the most clunky and sensitive controls out of every video game I’ve ever seen. If you’re one of those types of gamers who are looking for games so bad they’re good, you’ll love this one. The story is cheesy, the controls are bad, there are just about as much bugs and glitches in this game as Fallout 76, and for an Original Xbox game the graphics are extremely mediocre. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this game to you unless if you want a full Xbox Collection or you want to play a game that is just hilariously bad. I’d give it a 3/10 as someone who loves those types of games.So Drake of the 99 Dragons is a game you’ll never forget. Unbelievably bad
I don't even know where to begin with this game. It's like playing an Ed Wood movie - it's so bad, it's absolutely hilarious (as long as you don't have to pay for it). Every single element of this game is not only completely half-assed, but also broken and glitchy. These are just some of the amazing occurrences I've experienced while playing Drake of the 99 Dragons: - Emptying machine-gun rounds directly into a boss who is stuck behind a pole for 4 minutes. At some point, he breaks free, and his health bar instantly plummets to zero. - Mission Complete and Game Over displayed on the screen at the same time, followed by a continue screen.. yep, I have to do the whole damn mission again. - Being pushed around the room for 20 seconds by an enemy I'm firing at - Trying to load one weapon ... I don't even know where to begin with this game. It's like playing an Ed Wood movie - it's so bad, it's absolutely hilarious (as long as you don't have to pay for it). I tried all the buttons, and nothing registered. Then it occurred to me to try controller 2.. and it worked. Yes, this game has actually SWITCHED CONTROLLER PORTS ON ME IN-GAME. Must have been their little tribute to Eternal Darkness's "insanity effects." Indeed, nothing will drive the average person insane quicker than this game. Those are just the biggest howlers. There are many more problems, both of the buggy type and the inherent deficiency type, that will be constant companions. Drake draws approximately five polygons on the screen at a time, but it still lacks enough grace to keep its framerate in the double digits. Adding to the nausea factor is the fact that the camera will never be where you want it to be, even if you try to stop and fiddle with it - not that it matters, because the game uses auto-targeting, like Dead to Rights, so you don't really have to be able to see your enemies. Of course, the auto-targeting also happens to be broken. Even if your character locks onto an enemy, you won't know you have until it dies. And as bad as the camera is, you might not even find THAT out until well after the fact. Forget about keeping tabs on where enemy fire is coming from and trying to avoid it - taking damage is an absolutely random occurrence. Even if you actually manage to see gunfire coming in your direction, often you will take no damage at all, just like the boss I mentioned earlier. But if you're unlucky, you might take a crippling amount of damage which will leave you no chance of surviving until the end of the mission. When even the most basic gameplay components boil down to Russian Roulette, you know you've got a seriously bad game on your hands. This game has 25 short and fairly straightforward missions. If the gameplay was even halfway workable, it could have been a fun action/adventure game with a so-bad-it's-funny comic-book storyline. But instead, each mission degrades instantly into button-mashing, trigger-mashing, analog-stick-mashing, and ultimately Xbox-mashing. This is one of the most unplayable and unforgivable games ever to foul a home system. Drake of the 99 Dragons was Swedish developer Idol FX's first console game, and God willing, it will be their last. Majesco must be kicking themselves for signing off on this monumental turd.

DRAKE OF THE 99 DRAGONNS AWW SHOOT SON! know pat was all like hey we should play skyrim and i was all like yeah, lets play a game with dragons. yeah you shoot and run and jump and run on walls and - cameras bad, cameras not so great...
