Product Information

Players take the hard-hitting role of a righteous warrior in a ruined world in Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. The game is based on Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's manga series, in which the hero Kenishiro uses his expertise in a rare form of martial arts to protect the weak and innocent, during the collapse of civilization after a nuclear cataclysm. Players engage in superhuman hand-to-hand combat against scores of enemy soldiers, completing mission objectives across large, open battlefields.<br><br>While the focus of play is on fluid, combo-based melee against multiple foes, as in developer Omega Force's earlier series, the futuristic setting and established fictional characters distinguish Fist of the North Star from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games. Heroes and villains engage in martial arts battles, instead of wielding medieval weapons, but the results are no less bloody. As in the comics, Kenishiro's mystical style of pressure point-based fighting can cause gruesome wounds and gory deaths. The game offers three main modes of play: "Legend," which follows the original story of the manga series, "Dream," with an original plotline that allows players to take the roles of each of the four Hokuto brothers, and "Challenge," which pits players against endless streams of enemies.

    Fist Of The North Star Ken's Rage

    This game is great if you grew up with beat em up type of games. Fist of the north star does start off slow but then once you keep progressing through the story it gets better. The further you get the more you unlock like stronger characters and unlocking characters not just for the story mode but also other modes like dream mode. You can go alone or with a friend via split screen in dream mode. There is another mode called challenge mode but i can't really say much because i haven't tried it. The Gallery is everything from cut scenes and info on each character and people you encounter in the game. From people complaining about the voices it can be switched from English to Japanese in the options.The controls are fine it's just people don't play enough to get the hang of the camera and ...

    QTE issues within game

    Got stuck early in game when approaching a glass wall that I'm supposed to jump out of, following a sequence of running across falling floor of a building. There's supposed to be a QTE button displayed on screen that allows character to jump out of window but this never appears on screen. Went through same sequence multiple times trying different techniques each time but there's really only one way to make it to end of sequence without dying. Unable to progress any farther without QTE prompt to continue. Also QTE events in general seem unfair, without enough time to react after button on screen is displayed. I needed to replay QTE sequence at least twice every time a QTE prompts appeared. Game is very over-reliant on QTE events and there's not enough time given to complete QTE events ...

    If you´re a fan, you must have this game!

    I´m a huge fan of Fist of North Star and if you like it as well, this game is a must. Pros: story line and characters are very accurate to original series, game mode is fun, boses are great. Cons: minions (punks) and each stage are pretty much the same thing all along the game, with a few exeptions (Fang Clan, Raoh´s soldiers etc).

    If your a fan then its a must.

    This is one of those games where you buy it or rent it because you either like beat em ups or your a fan of the North Star. I'm probably going to assume your a fan Fist. With that having been said its an OK beat em up. But if your a fan your going to love this game. I am pacing it out but the first 3 hours of this have been a joy. Once I got used to not having the same voices but that didn't take long. Lots of repetative action but then again the show was that way so it never gets old. Achievements are a bit on the ruff side. If you plan on getting them all then you'll invest 20-30 hours in this game to get em.
