    Rough looking but tougher than my bench

    I looked at much more expensive vises the same size--- and being a retired machinist really liked the paint and workmanship of what was shopped versus the Olympia. But the price point and serviceability of the tool I got out of the box worked fine, and I expect for a long time from now. When you get over the rough spots in the finish and consider what the tool is doing as opposed to aesthetics; the price point at half or even a third of the other guys is irresistible. You can take the testimonial at face value that the quality is good enough I just ordered a SECOND identical vise.

    olympia wood vise

    It i as advertised. With the one I received my only real complaint is that the slot for the dog is poorly finished. but a little work with a grind stone on the slot and some refinement on the dog itself fixed the issue. also of note is that the cotter-pin at the end of the screw was hard to remove, i ended up taking a chisel to it and replaced it. but both of these are minor given the price point and were easily fixed.

    Works great

    I installed this vise in 30 minutes. I just drilled 3 holes on the edge of my work bench. Then I attached two 4" x 12" pieces of hardwood to the vise with screws. This vise is exactly as discribed. Good value for the handman. Simple.

    Good size for small shop

    The work bench vise is on the small size, perfect for a small shop. It is well-built and the vise seems underpriced. I would have thought it would be worth more. Mounts easily.

    Very nice little Vice...

    Very nice Vice especially for the money, only one minor flaw which was the wing nut that adjusts the dog was a little too big and interfered with the tightening handle but a couple swipes with the file and all is good... Shipping was excellent, got here faster than expected...
