    I received the box, but box was damaged and blades were missing. Other smaller parts were in there. Someone actually put a hole in the box and stole them. My advise to the company is to not put the description of the items on the outside of the box. Greater chance of thief. I reached out to the company right off and they shipped new blades to me. So customer service is good, which is one of the most important things. I would order from them again. Shipped quickly.

    It took me quite a while to find a 15 tooth starter motor for my 9 year old Craftsman T3300 riding lawn mower. When I finally discovered a motor from Caltric on eBay. The price was great. The motor was shipped out within a day or two and arrived a day earlier then estimated. The motor was well packaged and was exactly as described. I have not ordered from eBay except once many years ago but I will definitely be purchasing more in the future. As for the company "Caltric"...Big Thums Up!

    Excellent seller item is exactly as listed xtra fast shipping Thanks Robert Note: you need to mark packaging don't bend or fold our substandard postal service folded the package in half to put it in my mail box when I straightened the package out the gasket broke in two places. I was able to repair the gasket and use it. On monday I'm going to have another unpleasant conversation with our local postmaster about our carrier and his disregard for delivering packages without damage.

    Pinion gear fits good, appears to be of good quality

    The fitment of this pinion gear was very nice. It slipped on very easily. I was worried that the machining may have left burrs, but that was not the case. I only gave it 4 stars because I have yet to determine how long it will last. Right now it is working great. As a side note, I also replaced the steering sector gear, as it was also worn badly.

    Steering Gear

    This replacement gear came quickly and installed quickly. You may want to hold the gear with a pipe or channel-lock wrench to allow removal of the nut. I didn't notice that the plate gear had damage in the centre and this didn't allow the steering to engage so I had to order that part, too. This is the normal case. I'm sure the part will function well. I saw a video that suggested adding a washer to the bolt securing the plate gear to restrict it from wobbling, which contributes to gear failure. I will definitely be doing this as I have two different models of John Deere doing this.

    Good product

    This gear is an exact match to the OEM. However it's not the hardened steal as the OEM. It will save you some money if you buy both gears and replace them at the same time. Better quality if you go with the name brand parts.

    the gear fucntioned great , enabled me to stear safely.

    I had ordered one prior , but it seems the metal was not good quality, this one must be top of the line, as I had replaced the steering sector plate ( From EBAY ) and knew it had to have a quality metal gear, and I got that and will order again except this one works so well it may not wear down for a long time.

    Works as expected

    Recommend purchasing the gear plate as well as the shoulder bolt, mine are worn and as much work as it is to replace the gear, might as well go the rest of the way and replace it all. I know I’ll be taking it all apart again soon because I did not do that.
