The third title in Activision's popular rhythm-action series to come to DS, Guitar Hero: On Tour -- Modern hits brings on-the-go gamers 28 new tracks from some of the rock world's biggest names. Players once again get into the action by inserting the "Guitar Grip" peripheral into the GBA slot and strumming the touch screen with an included guitar pick stylus, belting out hits from Lenny Kravitz, Fall Out Boy, Weezer, and many other artists. Series fans will find familiar "Career" mode character creation and customization options, while the new "Fan Request" mode finds wannabe rockers earning more fame by stringing together long note streaks, avoiding note bombs, and performing requests. Solo gamers can start a career and travel to a variety of venues as a lead guitarist or as a bassist, or players can go for a less intensive experience in "Quick Play," "Guitar Duel," and "Practice" modes. Four different multiplayer options let friends square off or team up wirelessly, and if other gamers have copies of Guitar Hero: On Tour and Guitar Hero: On Tour -- Decades, groups can jam to more than 80 different songs.

Amazing!
Pros: fun with tons of replay value and difficulty settings Cons: does not have download content This game is worth buying Okay, guitar hero obviously doesn't change a great deal gameplay wise. It is solely based on the music list it has and here lies the problem. It has ton of replay value, but I'm disappointed that I can only play with one person instead of 2, 3, or even 4. Some of the songs on there I don't like will others I love. It be nice to increase the lateral with download content. Guitar Hero for Nintendo DS, all the fun of rocking out
I bought this DS game for my daughter, the best part is that she can have the same fun playing "rock star" as the Wii game, but without the expense, and with the mobility to play anywhere. The songs have many levels of difficulty, so that you can start easy, and work your way up to the tough "riffs". Great fun, nice package, nice details of stickers, etc. P.S. The price is much better on E-Bay!!I bought this DS game for my daughter, the best part is that she can have the same fun playing "rock star" as the Wii game, but without the expense, and with the mobility to play anywhere. I have no regrets for this purchase
This is a great product. It is easy to use and fun for everyone. I was very satisfied. I have younger children who use the DS much more than I do and they can't get enough of this game. I would strongly recommend this to adults as well as younger players.

cool product, but awkward hand positioning.
Cool product, my 8 year old son loves Guitar Hero on his PS2 so I got this for his DS. The way the remote attaches to the DS makes it a little awkward to play the game. My son is having a little trouble getting used to the position his hands need to be in to play. In order to strum the guitar strings you have to go across your body. Even though it is causing a lot of frustration for him, he is getting better at it the more he plays. Great Game.
The child I bought it for enjoys the game. It is a great way to allow your child to hear music that may not be of their genre or style of music. It can broaden their horizions. Best thing child is busy enjoying herself while trying to finger the music.
