Product Information

Tecmo Koei's long-running 3D fighting series, known for its fast-paced action and occasionally titillating visuals, returns to gamers with destructible stages, perilous new danger zones, and new critical attacks in Dead or Alive 5. Combat takes a rock-paper-scissors form, with players executing throw-beating strikes, hold-beating throws, and strike-beating holds, with properly deflected attacks resulting in high-damage counters. Landing specific moves leaves opponents in a Critical Stun state, which prevents blocking and can lead to devastating Critical Combos and Power Blows.<br><br>There are more than a dozen characters from which to choose, with fights occurring in places like a downtown construction area, a war-torn desert city, and a circus, among other locations. Xbox 360 gamers battle as the world crumbles around them, flinging foes into Danger Zones to inflict massive damage and cause buildings to collapse, helicopters to crash, and oil tanks to explode. Some of the stages include upper and lower levels, allowing for new "Cliffhanger" action sequences in which one combatant dangles from the edge of the upper level. Multiplayer fans can take on friends in local or online action.

    Awesome game Deserves to be played a couple of times.

    I was impressed at the speed and how it takes me out of my element instead of the usual fighters very fun and interesting. It also shocked me on how good the story actually was I saw some early footage on youtube and was disappointed but after playing the game from beginning to end the story made sense at the end since it cleared up the strange reason kasumi was looking for her clone alpha 152. Which I originally thought was so unlike the strong kasumi we all knew from the previous titles. Why did she care? It explains it in a way where I went oh that's why lol! The characters look amazing even with little flaws the highlights make them look realistic. However the backgrounds are poorly developed besides the cool destruction zones they looked like no real work was put into them. I guess ...

    Love the game, playable and fun

    Have been a dead or alive fan growing up and wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't buy lol. I love the fighting styles and the new characters, training mode takes practice with some characters though. I was able to do them with a couple of tries and timing. Overall good story and favorite xbox game.
