Play as both Spider-Man and an X-Men in this classic video game made for fans of the Marvel Comic universe. Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge is an action and adventure platform game made to be played on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Featuring superheroes from the Marvel Comics universe, gamers play as Spider-Man as he goes on a mission to save four X-Men that were kidnapped by an evil assassin named Arcade. Once Spider-Man finds Arcade's lair, players can then switch between the X-Men characters Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, and Cyclops. Each character has it's own personal strength that can be used to defeat various obstacles that Arcade has placed over ten playable stages.

    Alright Game, Great Soundtrack! Nostalgiafest!

    So/So graphics, so/so gameplay, Great music! Steeped in the 70's perhaps, but the audio tracks are much longer than most of it's time, and considering the limitations of the hardware, especially considering it was only a 2nd generation title, they did a very good job of making the instruments sound authentic. It is interesting to note though that the character sprite for Wolverine is basically the same one as in the 1991 NES release, Wolverine only upgraded to 16-bit. The stance is the same, the movement is basically the same minus a couple extra frames of animation in the SNES rendition (also, Wolvie has a few new moves in the SNES one) I wonder if the guy who did the music for Spiderman/Xmen also did the music for Wolverine. Also somewhat 70's also very good. And then ...

    Too hard

    This game was the most difficult game i've ever played. There are 2 different levels for each super hero and Wolverine's 2nd level is impossible. That's right..I mastered all the others including his but it is impossible to beat. Why? Because Juggernaut, who chases you throughout this level is invincible. I've played the level out perfectly 2 twice and wasn't able to kill him thus me getting the hint to quit. This game gets a 2 for the awesome music (one of my favorite game soundtracks of all time) and because despite the poor control, level design, plot design, and enemy design, it was fun playing...its just something about controlling an X-men or Spiderman in even a lackluster adventure. I also like a good hair raising pressure challenge...running Gambit ...

    awesome game of the year

    world best game review of year one of the awesome game of the year fun to play if your inrested in this game i got say well u just can't get enough of this & take my word for it this game is awesome to play if your gamer & u don't what to play this is it i recommend on this game it so worth playing 10 out 10 perfect plus beleave gamers i got the worlds greatest to the worst & take from me i just love even the world dumdest game could be awesome on my book to graphic well don't see the problem with but all i can is a job well done sound hmmmm i hear just it perfecly the music i think i love videogame music i just can't get enough of it & the gameplay well as u see its like i all ready knew how to play when i got it at the store ready if u don't ...

    Loved this impossibly hard game. Glad it worked and was just as hard as I remember it lol

    I like this game

    I played this game before and I like it.The soundtrack is great,it really get you going in the game.The one character I like to play is Wolverine,His attacks are really cool to watch.The only thing that keeps this game from geting a better rating it is really really hard.If your a fan of comic books or you just want to add some games in your collection.this is a really fun and challenging game that will get you to play this game until you beat it.
