As a former IT Tech for a National Lexmark Dealer, I could not stand installing these mark nets for customers because all too often they had double NAT because of multiple routers in a chain or poorly configured mesh WiFi systems…. Great Product!
The range is great, I can be approximately 200 foot away from the base and still have good service. If I get too much farther than that, it will get fuzy and then dropped. There are a few features that would be good that it does not have and that is voice mail notifications and speed dial numbers! But other than that, it is a great phone.

A great wireless phone with extreme range and versatility.
I own a telecommunications business and am an Engenius business partner. Bought this phone simply because I needed a demo unit for my customers - the price was right and I didn't need a pristine unit for that function. The newer 1x models have the speaker function, this one is an original so it's firmware doesn't have that option. However, Engenius has long been the leader in long range wireless phone and data and will easily cover a huge amount of area - either farmland or warehouse, so don't doubt the claims about the wide coverage range. This is a well built phone, with great reception from a solid reputable company. Incidentally, this will work behind just about any PBX with an analog station port. Love this Phone
The EnGenius DuraFon has helped me solve my phone problems. I own a campground and am in and out of the office and around the property often. The campground is in the country, so the cell phone signal is hit or miss. We have a land line into the office and would forward the phone to the cell if we had to leave. Sometimes we would forget and miss a call and miss potential business. Often, we would not get the call due to the cell signal. We ordered this phone to be able to have in and out of the office. The calls come thru loud and clear regardless of where we are. We no longer have to fool with forwarding our land line and can be confident that we will get the calls if we are out of the office. poor quality
This is a great phone . The quality is obvious over the other cordless phones I have even for indoor use,battery life is better and more predictable.I have the outside antenna about 35' up and it does pretty well. I can get over a mile without terrain blocking and about 3/4 mile with some terrain and heavy trees. Now that I had this phone system for a while I think it is over priced junk. The factory won't service it after it is over a certain age, the base has gone bad twice in 18 months. Cost hundreds to repair and now i must buy a new one.This is a great phone . I've now bought Engenius 3 times
I've had a 1x Durafon for over six years. Found it was the only cordless (despite all the claims of other makers) that would work over my entire property. The boundaries are only about 500yards from the office but there are trees, a 100ft wide creek, tall grass undulating country and a dam.I can answer the phone anywhere on the property. It was so good we bought a second handset. With the intercom I can talk to my partner who may be up to a mile away. We had a lightning strike last night that took out the base station. Cheaper to buy a new unit than to make an insurance claim. So I did.I've had a 1x Durafon for over six years. Found it was the only cordless (despite all the claims of other makers) that would work over my entire property.
