Product Information

Gamers get a glimpse into the origin of Lara Croft as she struggles to survive on an isolated tropical island in Crystal Dynamics' reboot of Tomb Raider. The game finds the recently graduated Croft joining her treasure-hunting mentor Conrad Roth on an expedition into the Pacific Ocean's dangerous Dragon's Triangle. But a powerful storm splits their ship in half, and when the survivors wash onto shore they are greeted by dangerous terrain, fierce wildlife, and fortune-seeking scavengers. As always, players must use a combination of exploration skills and combat to escape alive.<br><br>The Lara of this Tomb Raider isn't the steely heroine from previous games, but a frightened and injured young woman who is very reluctant to kill people, but slowly builds her resolve in order to rescue her captured friends. To reach that end, gamers can make use of a variety of upgradeable weapons and tools, including torches, a bow, an ax, and a host of guns. The action mostly takes place in open, multi-path locations, with players using newly acquired tools to access loot and treasure maps in previously unavailable areas. The open layout also lends itself to multiplayer action, which pits groups of survivors against groups of scavengers in a variety of modes across five trap-filled maps.<br><br>In the "Definitive Edition" the developers have added numerious technical upgrades to take full advantage of the Xbox One hardware. A new character model was created, the PC's TRESS FX hair simulating technology is included, and shader, lighting, and textures have all been improved upon. On the game disc users will find a digital version of the Dark Horse Tomb Raider comic book, a mini-art book from Brady Games, the "Final Hours" developer videos, and all of the downloadable content previously released for last generation consoles.

    Incredible remake!

    This is a remake of the Xbox 360 version. I've been a long time fan of the Tomb Raider series but hadn't purchased a game in a few years. I'm glad I bought this one. Kind of reminded me of Uncharted the way they updated the play mechanics. The graphical makeover from the 360 is extremely impressive as well. I didn't appreciate it until I watched a video on YouTube showing side by side comparisons of the 2 systems. Fantastic game!

    Long Game Action packed

    The game is a must play if you like action/adventure-shooter. you get to use a Bow, a handgun, eventually a shot gun and a assault riffle. The weapons all start out low level and have to be leveled up. You have a choice to stealth kill or risk heavy fire from opponents. Very good story line, and fun to play.

    Tomb raider Definitive Edition Xbox One

    Game play is adequate but ive been playing tumb raider ever since the first Lara Croft and to totally change her character is a bold move lara croft has always been a bad ass but here she is soft so even though I like the game i cant give it all stars...its a ok game not great...

    Tomb Raider

    I can't express how great this series is. Just try it for 5 minutes and if you're not hooked, I'm sure there's a way to get your money back. Obviously this is an older game, but it still holds up. You'll love it until you get stuck, and then you'll love it some more.

    Laura at her best

    I played the original title on the 360 years ago, the revision with updates for the Xbox One and Series X is awesome. Enjoyable gameplay and challenging opposition makes this a winner.
