Product Information

Crash Nitro Kart is the 9th installment of the Crash Bandicoot series, this time in non-stop, adrenaline pumping go-kart racing action. The game features 16 playable characters from the series universe that is split into four teams with Crash Bandicoot leading one team and the others having Dr. Neo Cortex, N. Trance, and Nitrous Oxide leading the other teams. Crash Nitro Kart on PS2 has six racing modes: Adventure, Time Trial, Race Trial, Lap Time Trial, Quick Race, Team Race, and Cup Tournament. Just like most typical go-kart video game, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart's gameplay consists primarily of navigating and racing through different arenas with power-ups scattered along the track for a more interesting competition. The video game also has a Battle Mode where the player battles by collecting weapons in the arena and attacking other characters.

    great fun

    That game was just plain fun, and the weapon pick-ups scattered on the boards added an element of strategy. In addition, the cars were easy to control, there was a multitude of weapons to use, and it took some time to get through the levels--especially the "boss" levels where you're one-on-one with a main character. This game has none of the charm of the original. The cars are often difficult to maneuver around tight curves, and there just doesn't seem to be as many weapons to use. Plus, the other characters seem to be really good at dodging things left in their path, so most of the weapons are useless. I also noticed that some of the boards are virtually identical to the boards in the first CTR. The new creators have also added a tandem mode, which enables you to ...

    Great!

    I love playing this game. I just needed a fresh copy because my old disc had scratches in the ring around it and it kept skipping when the ps2 had trouble reading voiceovers . But this new cd is in better condition and i can hear uka uka talking better once again :D

    Border line product.

    Crash Nitro Kart doesn't seem to live up to the standards set by Mario Kart Racing games. Although this is among the few kart racing games on the ps2 console, it lacks the visual spectacles that would make it an exceptional game. The game play is mediocre and resembles much of what was already presented in earlier crash nitro kart games. The storyline is very repetitive and tiresome. But if you've enjoyed all the other crash nitro kart games this should satisfy you as well. Overall this game doesn't offer much of anything new that would be worth buying if you've already got other crash kart games. There is a slight integration of team play but this falls short in my opinion.

    Absolutely amazing!

    The game came in basically brand new condition, honestly blown away I feel like I just bought it new off the shelf!! And to add in the game is so fun! A++++++

    Crash Nitro Kart

    Crash Nitro Kart across a slew of single-player and multiplayer gameplay styles, including Cup Tournament, Team Race, five Battle modes and two Time Trial formats. Adventure mode offers a mild story line to connect racing through five different worlds. As with other kart games, tracks are filled with power-ups, bonuses, weapons, and hazards, such as fruit crates, boost pads, homing missiles, and the old favorite, the bowling bomb. The controls are easy to pick up but hard to master. While, as in most driving/racing titles, you can get by for a while with simple gas-and-brake pumping, skillful use of CNK other elements such as power slides, boosts, and the collaborative Team Frenzy will enable access to deeper parts of the game.
