If you don't mind grinding at things then this game may be for you.
Having played the beta I already knew what not to expect. Having played FFXI I can certainly say they followed a similar yet different mold with this game. Overall the game is perfect for someone that doesn't mind grinding for days to accomplish anything useful. Despite the lack of anything else to do besides grinding, it still has a different feel to it than other games out on the market, but different isn't always better. Once you learn enough about the game it may prove to be rather entertaining, but the sheer amount of time needed to figure out the best way to establish yourself in this game is rather uninviting to me. I prefer to keep trying with hopes this game will grow on me but only time will tell. The game seems like it's missing something huge to me, but then again it could be ... FFXIV Is an alright MMORPG as of now, there are still some bugs, but the dev's are on top of things. It definitely has a lot of potential, the graphics are beautiful, better than normal RPG's. Of course you need a decent machine to run it, but if you do have one you will really appreciate the landscapes. The only reason I'm giving the game a average score is because there isn't much to do at this point in the game, repetitive quests as of now they are all go kill X amount of enemy Y. The dev's did say more will come, there will be patches new implementations, more monsters, this than blah blah but I feel with all of the other MMORPG's out there to learn from and build from, including their own FFXI these things should be in there from the start. Good addition to my massive Final Fantasy collection!
This is a collector's item, the original game servers were shut down and rebranded as A Realm Reborn (which is one of the best FF games!)

The Final Fantasy game so bad they discontinued it, and made Ream Reborn. Which makes it the perfect collectors item. Great condition, with all manuals and art. Very pleased. 😙👍

Sony really screwed up with this game. It did not improve enough as they said it would.. so in turn, it did not replace WoW or FFXI. Sony knows this, so they replaced most of the development team and fired the director of this game. Now, the game is under new management and its be overhauled. For the time being, IT IS FREE TO PLAY ONLINE. They know they screwed up, and so, they are paying for their mistakes. This is why they decided to give a 100% discount. Buy it while you can play for free, enjoy the amazing graphics and the new world of Eorzea. Hyperio World: LindblumSony really screwed up with this game.
